Well, finally made a team: Analysis time I guess.
The team:
+ Show Spoiler +
-My reasoning behind this team? Have to put in spoilers because the content may be too long otherwise @_@.
+ Show Spoiler +Was debating between Baby and Effort for the 7 point role but finally decided on Effort due to team reasons. Effort is on CJ and CJ, at least, in my opinion, would tend to gravitate more towards Effort for a Zerg player. Wemade has a smorgasbord of Terrans (Mind, Major, Baby, Midas, Nada) and with Roro, Shine, and Pure potentially claiming spots, I think that Wemade would be a lot more likely to give Baby a few breaks. In addition, with Effort beating Flash in the OSL, that should be a major kick to his confidence levels. Add that with his returned form and consequent respectability in all 3 matchups, and I see him to be quite a force.
Roro, I picked because of his past performance. Believe it or not, Roro has hung around in Top 20 Fantasy Player Performances the past two seasons (unless I counted wrong). With that kind of oddly consistent performance, plus the fact that Proleague typically has at least one map characterized by ZvZs, and I elected to take Roro.
Free has been flying under the radar and as a main player in Woongjin, good play at the moment, and really modest price, I would jump at the opportunity to add him.
Stats has, at least in the last few games, shown that he can win, and can string a win streak together. Plus, Stats did turn in a good performance last proleague FPL season but necessarily making decisions based on that isn't the greatest idea. I have confidence that Stats will be able to seize some lineup spots in KT Rolster and, at least, in my opinion, all the other 4 point options aren't all too viable. However, I'm still wary at the grim possibility of KT Rolster fielding Flash/Hoejja/Violet/ForGG instead, which is very likely.
Classic may be a rather strange face to see here. His relative invisibility rivaling that of the infamous "Invisible Terran" Light can clearly be characterized by the grand total of 4 people owning him by season's end. However, Classic has quietly been able to string together a good-looking win streak and may be looking for a breakout season. In addition, with Upmagic's absence, there will be more opportunities for Classic to squeeze his way in the lineup. After all, Flying/Really/Action may be used, but that still leaves one spot left for him potentially.
Lastly, 45[Name] is just a complete gamble as a speculative 1-point add. It was either him or his other numbered counterpart 49. With Hite losing a SHITTON of players because of the betting scandal, the entire Hite lineup has opened up. Leta/Puma/Horang2/Hogil have been making starts; however, I still believe as a ZvZer 45 or 49 would be able to poach a couple of games and with the toss-up that is ZvZ, I believe they would be able to take some games. As I said with Roro earlier, ZvZ maps tend to appear in Proleague, so I'm gambling that 45 makes it in as a ZvZer and pays off for way more than his 1 point value as a role player in that depleted Hite team.
Bisu, I picked for my Anti-team because well, sadly, he hasn't been performing quite up to snuff lately and has been on quite the losing streak. His decline, I'm thinking will probably continue. He may pull off the occasional victory, but in general, Bisu's best years are behind him.
Great, I picked for pretty much the same reason as above. Except Great isn't necessarily trending down, but has been on a losing streak and with Khan beginning to give Zergs like Juni lineup appearances, this could pose as playing time interference for Great. As a 5-pointer, Great is also an intriguing anti-team pick.
Lastly, s2, though he has managed to compile a 3 game winning streak (though after a 5 game losing streak), I believe, will still struggle. It's a gamble indeed, but I'm hoping Hyuk "hyuks" s2 of the majority of the ZvZs/Zerg-matchup based games, thereby depriving s2 of lineup appearances and potential points to screw me over.
Finally, as a TEAM pick, I selected Wemade, because aside from me being a Wemade fan, Wemade has shown great progress in R4 of the Proleague and their depth is pretty good. I'm looking for Wemade to continue their torrid performance and continue to rack up the wins.
Long analysis is long. @_@
Hopefully the team pans out. But if that's not the strangest team I've fielded yet I don't know what is. Only truly "recognized" players would be Free/Effort (not really Roro though, he's more known for his anti-team raping if anything else rather than a main team asset.)

UGH
Normally Horang2 would be a great anti-team, but with the way events unfolded, he's know sadly Hite's 2nd best player and is guaranteed to play every game =(

+ Show Spoiler [My Team] +<3sMain Team3 Classic Same reason as flamewheel's 3 Point 6-0 is win.. but lets hope it doesnt backfire t_t 3 Hydra My signature? Plus hes getting consistent. 4-3 in R4 and took down MANY MANY big names in the MSL. Took a Jaedong to kick him off his streak. 4 Kwanro 3 points because he was inactive. i think its a bargain but Kwanro Kwanfails alot so its a gamble. He took a break from a sickness but came back going 2-0 after going 3-1 in PL during April. 6 Really Not that big of a fan of Really but, hes eSTRO's ace and i had room for 6 points. he seemed to be best choice imo 5 Snow (captain) Yea? 5 points damn hes gotten expensive. i miss everyone being 2 points t_t.. Hes CJ's rising star and protoss's future hope. hes shown entertaining games a lot and sniped the ultimate weapon. plus, hes the dreamleague bonjwa. 4 Stats another huge chin on my team. 4 Points.. damn hes cheap. i think hell prove his cost by showing us his consistency. with none of his match ups under 50%, hes going to be KT's left hand man. (Well its HoeJJa but you know what i mean ) 5 CJ Entus Fanboyism and theyre cheaper than KT and STX?? They also did so much better this round losing very few matches. Anti Team4 Free Heh. ever since his 3-1 vs HiyA in the MSL, he has yet to win a game. 5 Great Him too. He lost to Clam and has yet to win a game since then. 4 Killer Not consistent enough. He went 2-5 in R4.. Oz is trying so hard to turn him into neo Jaedong but SKT is doing better with s2..
+ Show Spoiler [the expensives and the gambles] +Flash and Jaedong.. are expensive. 11 fucking points. There arent that many great 2 pointers so i wouldnt take them if i were you ;( I think Kal might be worth it. 8 points and one of the most frequent aces. he has been inconsistent in the past but now, hes a beast. People would choose him because he has a killer PL record. BaBy and EffOrt are 7 points because they supported their teams very much and thats why their teams cost so much. Fantasy.. also 7 points but he isnt consistent but hes played out much that he gets alot of points. Leta is Hite's ace at 7 points also. Hes no doubt going to do well but hope he doesnt play TvP. Puma is a gamble. 2 points? hes a good buy but he lost EVERY SINGLE GAME SINCE WINNERSLEAGUE.. Iris Movie and s2 are all 3 points. Iris and movie are some of CJ's best. but atm, Iris has returned to glory (sorta) and Movie has slumped into a slump. s2 out of nowhere earned himself 2 wins in R4. will s2 continue with his game? will Iris continue to be the baller that he is? will Movie return from his slump? find out in the next round of Shinhan Bank Proleague. FBH, Reach, and Jaehoon. They have the ability to give you many many points. Reach sorta exploded from his weary ace gameplay into the MANTOSS Jaehoon is played out alot and he can snatch wins if he decides to reveal his gosu powers. FBH.. where have you been?.. where? Lastly, we have the next Hero Toss. Hes only 1 point for gods sake. Hes a mighty gamble though. take him for 1 point. will he deliver? maybe.
+ Show Spoiler [The baddies] +On May 27 2010 10:35 kOre wrote: Any insta Anti-Team picks? So far I have Hogil, Hyuk, and Stats but would it be better to go 1 heavy player and 2 small ones? Well, Like i explained in my team, Killer and great are auto picks. Clam, Sea, Violet, Best, Lomo and free would be major gambles

Main Team + Show Spoiler + Anti Team + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler +i believe Jaedong will rip through r5, and BackHo for 1 point is like a gamble with very good odds. i think BackHo might be the difference whether OZ as a team wins or fails Classic has been doing well lately, so 3 points is a pretty good deal. hite is only going to play 3-4 of the same players because they have no choice. they will send out Leta, who is doing pretty well. PuMa is showing pretty abysmal stats, but hite keeps fielding him, i believe he will eventually win a few games RuBy i dont care much about, just an ace player who will definitely play a lot, only needed him to make up a 30 point team im really sad i couldn't fit Kwanro into my team, who is only on for 4 points. i think Bisu will make a come back, but not yet. i put great on my team last round, got lucky, and i think he will fail this round. wemade seems to favor playing RorO, Shine, BaBy, Midas, so for 3 points Mind seems like a good option for anti

Maybe then I can trade him off or something. With the way things are going Bisu might end up being the safer pick at 5 (crazily enough), but I'm not gonna bet against Bisu when I'm rooting 100% for his comeback.

Mayonnaise
Main Team 7 Baby (captain) 3 Hoejja 4 Midas 2 Ruby 5 Snow 6 Stork 3 Samsung KHAN
Anti Team 4 Lomo 3 Mind 6 Roro
Baby - The best Terran on WeMade Fox, a team with awesome Terrans, with a 11-4 record. Hoejja - The only Zerg on my team, but I figured if he's with Flash, he'll improve his vT. His vZ is terrible, but his vP is decent. Kind of a risky choice, but it could pay off if he gets play time. Midas - My favorite Terran of all time and he's doing really well after his transfer. His vZ and vP are awesome and his TvT is not too shabby. I think he and Baby will get lots of play time. Ruby - As of the better, if not best, players on ACE, he'll definitely get tons of play time. He's been shakey these past few games, but each season/round is a renewed spirit for ACE. Also, they are getting a few more players in the coming weeks, so I think that'll improve camaderie.. Snow - Tearing it up lately, I think he'll be another break out star with tons of play time. Stork - I never really liked Stork, but he's one of the few consistent players that do relatively well. I think he's the strongest player in Khan and with a Jangbi as a training partner, he'll take it even further this round.
Lomo - Terrible performance as of late. I hope it continues. Mind - Use to be great, but not doing as well as Midas and Baby. This is kind of like a pair trade in finance -- long the high performing securities and short the worse performing securities of the same sector (Terrans in WeMade) Roro - He's kicking tons of ass as of late, so no real good reason to short him. He's one of the few bets that I think will underperform.
I've only played FPL a couple of times, but was never good at it. Please critique my team!

You have Roro anti. That has never worked out for anybody in the history of FPL, but you're welcome to try your luck.

Main Team 4 Action 7 Fantasy 7 Leta (captain) 3 Movie 2 Pure 5 Zero 2 Hite Sparkyz
Anti Team 5 ForGG 4 Lomo 4 Midas
Main:
Action: We all know this person has been dominating for quite a bit last round and I hope he does the same on R5
fantasy: Even though fantasy had its ups and downs last round and scaring the shit of everyone his match against Action on Judgement Day. I'm positive in R5 that he'll a lot better on his set matches and ace matches.
Leta: The Miracle Boy and the Captain of hite SPARKYZ. Two question still remains in my head is that will he be the Jaedong of hite SPARKYZ and will he carrying his team on his shoulder?
Movie: I have no idea why I pick Movie for my FPL team and I can't say much about Movie cause he hasn't played much last round.
Pure: For 2 points and made it to OSL R4 against Flash(which he lost) this is such a bargain for only 2 points why not get him?. I say if your looking for a decent protoss in your FPL I would pick Pure.
ZerO: Watching ZerO playing ZvZ is so painful, but if you watch his ZvP or ZvT he completely destroys and has a 60% winning rate in those battles. If the coach of Woongjin Stars is reading this please stop sending ZerO in ZvZ he almost loses every vZ and ACE match of vZ .
hite SPARKYZ: To tell you the truth I believe on miracles and this is the team to believe on. This team was heavily effected in the players scandal leaving with them only 6 players on there roster. Now with the 3 new players from there B-Team I have this feeling that once this 3 new players get use how to play in the real PL matches against players like Kal, EffOrt or Jaedong they could just become like Action or Snow.
Anti:
fOrGG: This guy is Hot and Cold like RorO I could have pick someone else like Bisu or great but I pick fOrGG because I have this feeling that he could lose a lot in R5, but don't take my word he has been doing decent in R4 with wins against Really, JangBi, Kal and Jaedong in FPL.
Lomo: I have this half and half sense of why did I put Lomo? and why not put in Lomo? I have no idea what will happen in R5 since we haven't seen Lomo play any PL matches, so It will all depends how many times will the coach will put him against my Main team
Midas: I should be really scared putting Midas in my anti-team just because he could be the RorO of Terran with 50% win rate against any race and could win an ace match for his team.
In conslusion: If you want a cheap protoss that can win you matches pick Pure and if you want a person that you know nothing will happen but some Miracle he win you can pick Lomo

Gann
Main Team 4 Action - I think he's good value at 4 points. He's estro's top zerg, so he's practically guaranteed a spot in every match and possibly a few ace matches.
1 BackHo - A bit of a risk, but a 1 point risk so not a huge one. It's no secret that OZ is severely lacking in the protoss department, and if BackHo is playing like his old self he can definitely win some games. However, if he's out of shape after being out of action for the entire season (which, honestly, is likely) he might end up only getting team win points.
3 Classic A bit of a gamble. He won't be appearing in any ace matches, but at 3 points he doesn't need to for me to get my money's worth. He just needs to win a few games, and all signs point to him getting the opportunity. Hopefully he continues to win.
7 Effort (captain) Effort really impressed me in the OSL. He was awful in the round of 16, but after the tiebreakers he really hit his stride and played awesome Starcraft, sweeping the quarterfinals and semifinals and most impressively of all, beating Flash in a best of 5. Hopefully he can avoid the OSL winners curse and have lots of 2 win days as ace of CJ.
4 Sea 4 points is cheap for Sea, especially with Light not playing as well lately. Even though the MBC coach didn't play him in the main lineup every match last round, he still saw quite a few ace matches. Now that Round 5 is here, and MBC is fighting for 2nd place, I don't think Coach Ha will hold Sea back anymore. He'll be sent out in every match, and in several ace matches.
5 Zero Zero is a little bit of a risk. He's in a bit of a slump right now, but I fully believe that he can get out of it and re-claim Woongjin's ace duties. If he starts winning ace matches again, 5 points will have been a bargain.
6 STX Soul STX is on fire. They've got the most momentum of any team right now, and I don't see them slowing down in Round 5 as they chase down KT for the #1 seed.
Anti Team 5 Flying I'm a huge Flying fan, but I don't think he wins enough games to justify his cost of 5. It was either him or Roro - and Roro didn't work out so well for me last season. Flying it is, even though I'll hate rooting against him in proleague.
3 Guemchi I just don't see G-Chizzle getting much playing time after the emergence of Soulkey. He's Woongjin's 2nd protoss behind Free, and I don't see Woongjin fielding 2 protosses in any match with their lineup and the maps being what they are.
5 Hyuk Hyuk is 5 points? Wow. I like my chances here, seeing as he'll probably lose every non-mirror he plays.
+ Show Spoiler [Players I almost picked] + free - Seems like a bargain at 4 points, since he gets ace matches sometimes for Woongjin. However, with their shiny new 3-zerg lineup, and MVP possibly getting more playing time, I think Sea and Action were better 4-pointers than Free. Soulkey - I'm a huge fan of Soulkey's and think he has a lot of potential... but you've got to believe that Woongjin won't send 3 zergs out every single match. Zero and Kwanro are both better than Soulkey right now, so I think that when they choose to use only 2 zergs he'll be the odd man out. HoGiL - One of the few players left on the depleted Sparkyz team, he should be seeing a ton of playing time, especially now that he's alpha Zerg with the departure of Yarnc. Ultimately I decided that 4 points wasn't worth it since his chances of getting an ace match over Leta are small, and his ZvZ record is ugly. Hydra - I like Hydra a lot. I picked him last season and he ended up being a great deal for 2 points, and I think he'll easily live up to his 3 point cost. I decided to go with Classic instead because I think Classic will get more playing time. Leta - Leta is pretty much guaranteed all of Hite's R5 ace matches. Sadly I don't think they'll make it that far too often this season, and that's why I picked Effort over Leta as my 7 pointer.
+ Show Spoiler [Players I almost anti-picked] + sKyHigh - Seems expensive at 5. Then I remembered he's really good at mirrors and he's likely to get a lot of them, so I avoided him. Stork - Stork is my favorite player, and ultimately that's the only reason he isn't on my anti-team. The poor guy is losing games left and right, and logically he'd be a good choice since he seems to have lost ace duties to JangBi and Great, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. fOrGG - I doubt he'll play an ace match over Flash again, since this is the final round and KT is competing with STX for the #1 seed. I think he'll win more games than Flying and Hyuk, though. Horang2 - Same as Skyhigh, basically. He seems expensive, and isn't likely to ever see an ace match. He's really good at PvP though and I think he'll probably get it often.

Question: I swore they did, but just to double check do streaks carry over into the new round?

Anti Team 4 Best 5 Flying 4 Stats

After being in the top 10 for worst traders in my first FPL, I'm back for round two! Hopefully I've learned a few things.
+ Show Spoiler [Team!] +Main Team1 BackHo - If Oz wants a Protoss, they don't exactly have a lot of choices. I'm hoping they'll choose BackHo over PerfectMan. 3 Iris - I had Iris last season and he was great. So I'll stick with him again. 11 Jaedong (captain) - Jaedong. 2 Reach - Even if this doesn't end well, it's totally worth the two points to make my team both manly and awesome. 6 Really - I'm not really sure why I picked Really. Perhaps for the puns? He'll be in the lineup a lot, at least. 4 Stats - Stats had a great round, and I'm hoping his form will continue. 3 eSTRO - I needed a cheap team in order to afford Jaedong, at 3 points and with a good finish in round 4, eSTRO fit the bill. Anti Team3 Anytime - Not sure about this one. Anytime had a good round 4, and will get lots of lineup appearances. Very few team win points, though. If he doesn't win too much, it'll be pretty good. 5 Bisu - Last round I picked Bisu for anti, then promptly traded him away as soon as he stopped winning. I'll repeat that mistake this round, too. 5 Great - Another anti-team pick that will get lots of lineup appearances and hopefully lose most of them. I'll probably trade Great away at some point for someone much better, costing me tons of points.
