Congrats on your great project sub team. There might be some inconsistencies and there might be some random slang that's misinterpreted, but I think as long as the meaning is conveyed and that everyone can understand, it's good enough. Sure, some translations are better than others in that it just sounds better, but let's not get picky here. It's a fansub project, not a formal speech or anything of that sort. MrMin does a good job, and he does it quickly and fairly accurately. What more do you expect?

I noticed him doing it a really long time ago but most recently, I remember a close-up view at the Ever OSL Finals against Movie... He does it so that his keyboard is at the exact same location every single game. If he does it while practicing then it won't throw him off during real games. It's similar to the reason why basketball players do the same routine before every free throw... It probably also reduces the tension on his hands if the keyboard and screen are placed at the optimal distance from the edge of the desk and from each other. It's pretty clear that he is suffering from OCD. If that's the only thing he have to do it's very mild, and it won't effect him too much in the daily life. Just hope it doesn't get worse

Beyond the random/starcraft slang which I sort of infer the meaning via context, my main goal while translating is to make it sound right in English. That means very often I take some liberties in not translating word for word, but replacing different terms or re-ordering the sentence structure so that it makes sense in English while retaining the original meaning. That said there have been a few mistakes I made (ones that the QA process couldn't have caught because it was a straight up error on my part), but I hope you'll forgive me for those. Again, I'm pretty confident that I get the actual point of the lines across. ![]()

I couldn't get over that clip of HBP where hyung faced off against ret, and they edited it to make ret look like a tool. What assholes. Nal_ra at least has some legitimacy behind him and the show is honest in its presentation. I've never watched one of these starcraft style shows until recently, but I'm genuinely interested in seeing the next episode. Would recommend. (Y)

It doesn't give him a competitive advantage in SC. Come on now, if that was the case every progamer would bring out the ruler before a game.

I've done things like this between French-English, for example : Nous irons pas par quatre chemins. literal : We aren't going to go by four paths. better : We aren't going to beat around the bush. Korean, I'm sure, has even more such idiomatic and contextually tricky situations. At any rate, excellent work - I laughed my ass off and found all three episodes thoroughly entertaining. Thanks for the effort, man.

Never go to a science lab... or a construction site... or anywhere else where anything is done regularly to precision. You will be overwhelmed by the number of OCD people swarming around you. Seriously, though, it doesn't have to be the sort of thing that everyone finds useful to not be something that Flash finds useful. Bisu doesn't care about what keyboard he uses but other players do - does that mean everyone but Bisu is OCD about their keyboard or do they actually have legitimate subjective reasons for choosing to do things the way they do? OCD is a debilitating complex. There's no such thing as a "mild" form of it - that's just called "normal". Everyone has a "mild" form of just about every mental illness in the DSM-IV. What makes it an illness is when it dominates and interferes with one's life. Clearly, that's not the case.

Just hope it doesn't get worse The key word in OCD that you're missing is 'disorder.' If it doesn't affect your life in a significant and negative manner, it's not a mental illness. Also inferring that he has OCD because he makes sure that everything is in exactly the right place when he performs the competitive sport that he practices an insane amount of hours a day is lol
