Like others from the thread, I don't think he's all too serious about training and becoming a pro-gamer, as he kinda slacks from even the mediocre practice like the rest of the team. Some of the team members can even be found in the practice room on their days off! Needless to say, if its not mandatory practice, Hyungjoon will not participate, as he even finds ways and excuses to get out of their regular practice routine.

However, I do think that this show is popular and spreading more publicity for pro-gamers as people and dreamers of being a very strong e-competitor at something thats been a very big spectator sport in Korea for many years. Seems that this show, like other reality shows, are taking a serious subject and adding more fun details and giving some of the MBC guys a chance to un-wind so-to-speak, and get a break from all the extreme practice hours etc.. Like the time Hyungjoon took Shark to see that girl group, the two of them skipping practice to go watch the OSL finals, then skipping practice again to go get dinner and the time Hyungjoon convinced head-coach to let them all go out and "work out" after Lunar New Year and go play table-tennis.

i'm not sure if all teams get to experience this kinda relaxed free time and often get exposed to some of these other perks from Hyungjoons celebrity, like back-stage passes to a concert or meeting up with other celebrity's and introducing them to his "team"!
but! Hyungjoon does look pretty pimp in his MBC uniform and I will look forward to watching epi. 6.

I would bet, as Hyung does have another FULL TIME JOB, as a celebrity no less, that he has quite the busy schedule.

Also, they do those 'fun things' to make the show interesting. And I would bet that a lot of the time, if Hyung did just want to practice with Shark, saint, sea, etc. the producers of the show would end up giving him 'missions' or something, like they did when he went to visit boxer. It isn't fully up to Hyung, what they do every day, his life is basically planned for him TT

It is a great show, and I look forward to every episode, I wish I was given a chance like that...but I'm not good at SC, nor am I a famous celebrity sadly enough. So I get to live vicariously through Hyung for now ^.%

So stop hating on Hyung, hes doing great!

He's getting plenty of respect at MBC, if anything because of his age and status. They wouldn't not show him respect when the cameras are on anyway because Korean netizens (strange word) can be very harsh towards anyone who shows signs of not respecting their kpop idols. Noone wants those crazy anti-fans attacking them. They can literally ruin your life if they start hating you.

But coach Ha is a scary guy no doubt. The ending to ep 5 gave me chills. If Shark gets smacked on the head on-camera, I can only imagine how scary it is off-camera. I think that's why coach Lee plays such an important role. Without a "motherly" figure, they'd probably go nuts.
