So it seems like Fomos did a bunch of interviews with other progamers and asked them to predict who will be winning the OSL finals. Fun translation, so have fun reading it
Jaedong's Prediction ▲ The maps are favored for Protoss in this OSL. However, I believe Flash will take this 3:1. There isn't a reason for it. I just wish Flash wins this OSL
Calm's Prediction ▲ I think the winner is 50:50. Although the maps are heavily favored for protoss, Movie's opponent is non other than Flash himself. I have no idea what will happen.
EffOrt's Prediction ▲ Movie will win with a score of 3:0, maybe a 3:1. I watched movie practice for this series and he's practicing really hard.
ZerO's Prediction ▲ Movie may be on fire, but this is Flash. The result will be with Flash's win. Because I am a Zerg user I won't be able to predict the score but Flash will win.
Kwanro's Prediction ▲ I don't think we should make rash predictions just yet. Both Flash and Movie have strengths so anything could happen. I guess this is around 50:50?
Stork's Prediction ▲ Flash will win with a perfect score. Alot of people are saying Heartbreak Ridge is a heavily favored map for protoss, but New Heartbreak Ridge is sort of okay for Terran. Also, I practiced with Flash recently and his TvP is really really good. 3:0, maybe a 3:1
Bisu's Prediction ▲ Flash will win. Just looking at Flash's current state tells us he will win. I don't know the stats for the map pools so I can't make out a score, but Flash has experience in BOXs while Movie is a rookie. Since this is his first final I think movie might get nervous and choke.
fantasy's Prediction ▲ Since Flash has alot of experience in big stages and everything else, I think Flash will win. Sets 1 and 5 are both New Heartbreak Ridge, but Flash seems to prepare very well on that map so I think if he can take the first game he'll win 3:0. Flash is also good at abusing mind games so if he is able to break Movie down psychologically, I don't think Movie has a slight chance to win.
Hwasin's Prediction ▲ I think it's 50:50. When you're playing at a finals game, one must always be calm and mentally stable. But when I saw Movie recently, I could see that he was very nervous. If Movie is able to play at a calm state and manner, this will be 50:50. But if Movie breaks under the pressure, Flash will win.

Hahahaha, yeah, especially with the justification "he is practicing really hard", like Flash wouldn't be or something. I think everyone calling for 50:50 is just being kind, while the guys that don't really care about looking like jerks are all calling Flash.
After reading this I'm sure Bisu and Stork are helping Flash with practice, Stork even said it. Getting practice from these + violet tempest and stats, can't see Flash losing this one.
that center lane that opened up with the changing from rubble to a path to center gives the terran an easier time getting out of his natural and being able to siege on that ledge goes a long way when you need to turtle.
of course that door swings both ways, but old HBR really boxed terrans in for the early game.
it's also a lot easier to push across the middle and abuse all the little chokes that your opponent would have to charged into
well i'd like to side in Efforts favor here, as he's at least offering some real valuable insight, being a practice partner / team-mate of Movies.
"He practicing real hard for the matchup" If Movie v Shine was any indicator of some one who really practiced/studied/prepared.. I think Movie might surprise a lot of viewers. Flash might be going into the set thinking he's got it in the bag.

Movie should bring some miracle play to beat Flash. I played some PvT on new HBR and i don't think it favors protoss that much to be an issue here. Anyway go Movie, beat Flash - that would be awesome
I always considered the old HBR better for TvP. With the new one you have to push farther to protect your 3rd. With the old one you just push to the nearest side entrance and you have a 3rd gas and a mineral only. New one min. only is harder to defend and you have to push 1 "ridge?" farther. I obviously know way more about it than the pros tho

Movie has still got nothing compared to Stork and Bisu. I don't know what you're talking about, but if there's someone for Protoss players to envy that would be Bisu, the best Protoss player of all time, right?
Reading these predictions, including from some of my favourite players, makes me want to root for Movie even harder. It`s clear that almost everyone thinks he is automatically done for.
While there is no doubt that the odds are stacked against him (PvT is his worst matchup, Flash seems invincible), there have been cases in professional StarCraft when players managed to pull through in spite of the odds. So I am not willing to discount Movie.
EDIT: Movie, it`s time to take Flash to the movies! :D
Anyway, I think people are underestimating the Iron Reaver, assuming he doesn't choke (which is a very strong possiblity since it's his first finals) this series will be an easy 3:2 in either direction, hands down.
Hmm Flash is the ultimate weapon , but Movie has the CJ face . I guess i'll have to cheer for Movie and i hope he brings his awesome shuttle micro with some well planned cheese builds in to the finals !

Angry CJ Netizen almost made me spit out my drink I was laughing so hard.
Speaking of Taek-Bang-Lee-Ssang, we already know that Flash/JD/Stork are great buddies and help eachother out all the time, cheer for eachother, etc. etc., but Bisu was sort of the odd guy out. Does anyone know if that's changed, and if Bisu practices with the other 3 more, now?
edit:
A sort of amusing thing I just noticed, Flash beat every single Zerg interviewed there in a Bo3 or Bo5 this season.
Except Effort, who he beat in a Bo3 just before this season started (WCG).

Maybe... but I just can't see it. Bisu is all like "I'm an Island, lol wat?" whereas the others tend to embrace a more Donne-esque outlook.
I hope movie does some revolutionary PvT build; I wouldn't put it past him since he has his very cool and distinct han bang timing attack style vs zerg.

Extra min patch at nat. Mineral only bases moved closer to thirds. Center connected by more "ridges" (good for tvp because terran can push through center).
Also, while progamer predictions are interesting, I want to know who is helping which players practice!
We knew Stork was going to be helping Flash out, and he just confirmed it in this interview, but anyone else (outside of Violet/Stats on his team)? Bisu, maybe? ...probably not.
Movie might be getting some help from outside CJ too...I wonder if he managed to bag Really, that's who he should really want to get his hands on to practice with...fantasy is Flash's friend so I doubt he'd agree to help Movie out. Sea might be willing to help, though.

I don't think he's the type to come up with any sort of revolutionary management style, like Stork or Bisu. Movie might do cute timing attacks and cheeses but that should be about it.'
Suddenly I'm reminded of Stork's claim that he has a revolutionary new PvZ style that he wanted to use against Kwanro but never got the chance. I wonder if we'll see that in PL
and what happened to Flash's new "TvP management revolution", is he saving it for the OSL finals or is he still working on it? I guess we'll see.
Flash will win: Jaedong, Zero, Stork, Bisu, fantasy
It's 50/50: Calm, Kwanro, Hwasin
Movie will win: Effort
Maps favor Protoss: Jaedong, Calm, fantasy
Maps are OK: Stork

My point is this, both Stork and Flash said they had new amazing management builds in PvZ and TvP, then they both go play like around 5 really important PvZs(OSL) and TvPs(Stork, Best) afterwards, and they never used anything new. Can you still sit there and honestly say they "obviously" have something new and never used it?
Dunno. But as for the most talented foreign player in history it goes to Kolll hands down. In 1 and a half years he's surpassed a lot of the best foreign players who've been playing for 10 years... What was it, from D to B+ in 6 months? And he's only 15. Jesus christ. IIRC, both JD and flash had been playing SC for about 2.5 years before they both broke out on the progaming scene.

I said this in another thread: Flash's timing pushes may not seem revolutionary, but they're a direct counter against the greedy PvT builds of the last year or so. No longer can Toss get an early third and/or fourth without facing a much greater risk than before.
That alters the meta game. Just like the triple-expand in ZvP disappeared with the Bisu build, Movie has to play Flash non-greedily on even grounds or get run over playing like BeSt.
I'll tell you what's up with the STX players- Kal has probably gone like 1000-0 on the OSL maps in practice, so they all just assume the maps are imba.

lol at Effort's prediction. I can understand wanting to support your teammate but if he wanted to make it look believable he should have called "3:2, maybe 3:1" instead of "3:0, maybe 3:1".

I dont debate about who is the best protoss. I just want to point that it's not impossible for Movie to win this OSL like Bisu won MSL against Savior and become a new Protoss main player. Also dont forget that Movie did what Bisu-Stork couldnt, he defeated Shine. And they most probably envy him about it. It's obviously.
Lol, Stork is such a baller. He doesn't mind to say what everyone else must be thinking 3:0 for Flash is real possibility given that he rolled over BeSt. Given that Movie is not even close regarding PvT to BeSt and Stork he IS A HUGE UNDERDOG.
Moreover, I'm sure Flash is practicing with great PvT'ers like Stork, Stats, Violet maybe even Bisu or Kal (though he has his own semis but they are quite close with each other). I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to get also someone else to practice with just to learn how to play against different styles.
Now Movie have lots of opportunities but there are far fewer good TvP'ers these days than PvT'ers. The best he can do is to ask Really to practice with. Other choices are Skyhigh (who for sure is helping him), Iris (he hasn't been that hot lately). I also predict that he has been prcicing weird builds with Much (just like Stork did before facing Fantasy). Obviously Fantsy won't help im as he is a close friend of Flash.
The thing is that Flsh is friends with every top progamers while Movie is a rokie and he did not established that many relationship. And who wouldn't eant to practice with Flash given that he is the best player right now. Whoever he asks to practice with will agree unless the guy is from CJ or is practicing for his own games...

His new strategy is called "winning".
But on the series note, it wasn't supposed to be a new strategy but a new management style. I guess it will be sth less obvious that a new timing attack or so. Might be just a few tricks and changes to his style that allow him fare better against P.

Flash is much more unpredictable right now than Savior was then. Flash is also very adaptable and is basically guaranteed to react well to any curveballs that Movie might throw --- unlike Savior who did the same thing three times in a row and basically just floundered against Bisu.
In the world of professional starcraft, anything can happen, but to the extent that anything is guaranteed, Flash is guaranteed to beat Movie. You can throw that statement in my face if Flash loses, but that's not going to happen.
There is a small chance that Movie will win. It is not unheard of. But if you look at the last 4 months it is hard to believe. Flash is a monster, playing in an unpredictable way, mixing different builds.
Just look at his games against Kwanro. What is poor Movie thinking now. Should he prepare for some cheesy strategy from Flash. Will he play to cautiously and Flash will abuse it. WTF will Flash do? That's the question I am asking myself and i'm sure Movie is as well. A month ago I would say Flash will play safe and go for macro games. But we have seen him cheesing a lot recently, using timing pushes, going for greedy builds.
But obviously this is starcraft and everything will happened. I will be worried about Flash as long as I don't see 3rd gg from Movie.
FlaSh has practice partners, sure. But anyone ever stop and think that maybe Movie has practice partners too? Off the top of my head, I can think of Sea, FanTaSy, and MinD. If Movie has Sea.Really, the TvP juggernaut, to practice with, I can't imagine just how well the series is going to be.

Goes to show you how good JD is. The other players were saying either it wasn't their race or they didn't know the map stats except for Jaedong. He can accurately gouge the skills of players when they are not his main races, and he keeps up with the map stats.

yes, because it took a triple OSL Champion to see that Flash was gonna win this and how he was gonna win this on apparently P-favoured maps :/
