I made a few maps during the vacation (4 only, actually), as well as made a very short Bound map starting 2 days ago. This will be 20,000th celebratory post and I'll be sharing my maps with you, hope you enjoy the maps, feedback and comments always welcome!
Conundrum 1.4
Details: Initially this map had lots of neutral buildings that were to be destroyed to open up paths, but I decided to do away with all those. Made for lots of engagement everywhere depending on what path you choose to take. This map was more about trying out different terrain blends for me though, such as the 3/9 connection between the green high ground and dirt high ground.
Details: Just some idea popped into my head, something made me want to try a map similar to Hitchhiker. Didn't turn out too well I guess lol. Natural has a El-Nino style minerals, starting from 0 to 800, with each mineral increasing by 450. There's a backdoor to your main, blocked by 2 Xel'Naga temples and 8 0-value minerals (4 of them are stacked 5 times) which can be used to glitch over, similar to Medusa. The third is connected to the natural, which is walled by a Xel'Naga temple as well as two 24-mineral patches. Mining them out can lead to early nat harassment. Near the nat there is a neutral Creep Colony to help Zergs out early in the game.
Details: Another small concept I thought of, trying to mix Outsider and Holy World. I haven't really had time to test this map yet due to iCCup being down, so I will probably give it more update in time to come.
Resources: Main: 9M1G Nat: 8M1G Corner expos: 6M1G (2000 gas) 12/3/6/9 expos: 7M1G (Minerals are 749, gas is 5000)
Details: This is a short UMS "bound" game I made from 2 days ago. This is my first UMS in years (literally!) after my last make on Mini Tarpit D 5 (before eventually abandoning that project). This is just my way of saying thanks to all those who made my stay on TL so much more wonderful. Don't be sad if you're not in the credits in the game, there just wasn't enough space and units left to add your name. Maybe in the next version!
Haha. I waited a day for your 20000th post and you put bunch of ums and other maps. Seems pretty interesting. Its going to take a while to try all of them though.
Infernal looks like a mix of holy world and outsider.
Terrans can fix buildings that arn't their rite? Then spectral would be hella cheap since there is already a wall to begin with.

Lol nice bound... I can see that you are a complete noob in that area :D Let me know if u need any help creating more, I have a great knowledge of boundmaking as I have been in the bounding scene since 2002.
inferno looks way better than the other maps, but i just dont like too many neutral buildings and crap. really going to have to look out for being cliffed by terran though

I'm not saying you dont, everyone knows you're one of the best contributers :p just that day9 seems like the kind of person who, if he couldnt talk, would post the way ver does HUUUGE posts with lots of depth to them, instead of breaking up his thoughts into several posts
