The entire tourney is being played offline in person at the lan center. I'm not even planning on making the bracket till the day of.

you show up and give ur name to torenhire who is going to be bracketmaster.

all these details will be worked out and put into the original post so people stay on track... If you want warmup time show up earlier.

is this place at all flexible with prices? $2 /hour is kind of gay... would they be open to a day rate? O_O;;

for example... the place I just had my SoCal LAN at also charges $2/hour but they gave me a rate of $13/8 hours.... which is slightly cheaper.

any ideas? if not I'm planning on calling these fuckers tomorrow cuz they didn't answer my email and I wanna finalize my LAN

I take it you've decided to host ur LAN here as well? What date. I saw the poll a little while back.

call them tomorrow. I've never asked for them for a discount/deal I dunno what their stance would be on that really.

Hey is anybody planning on showing up early? I don't know for sure how long it'll take me to get there and I am the kind of person who leaves unnecessarily early for things. So I'll probably end up getting there around 12:30 or so?

I drive a beat up red Mazda Protege with a Tot Finder sticker on the front fender and a Bethlehem sticker on the rear windshield.

Might be a good time to do a little bit of afternoon drinking, ey?

i don't really understand the point of the smoking side when is less then 1 ft of air space between that side and the other side but im just happy to not have to squeeze thru all those chair i don't like bumping in to people while there playin

I will say it again and as many times as I have to...not responding to you in particular, Boardin, just people who read the thread and say they're bad and don't wanna go.

Skill should NOT be a factor in ANYONE's decision to going. I'm D- INSANOBAD (I play maybe one game a month...) but I am sososososo glad that I made it to these LANs. I almost pussed out on the first week with Superiorwolf but I went anyways, and it was a HELLA fun time. You also learn alot watching over people's shoulders and 99% of the people are very willing to sit over your shoulder and coach you through a game or two. (ETT Won't. "Hey Toren, you should be building a ton of valks to counter his tech swap from mass hydras to mutas." "what? you sure?" "Yeah, I do it all the time"

No, ETT is helpful. BEFORE he's drunk anyways.

Being D- is okay in the custom maps as well. We did some race wars and team melees and it's all good fun. If you're terrible, just 4pool or 8rax or something on BGH racewars..that's what I did. Haha... Or find yourself a gosu partner (last time I was teamed up with CaucasianAsian and we split up jobs. Caucasian built a fuckton of depots and I spammed TTTTTTTTT on all of them. Easycakes and we won! :D).

Caucasian, if we do end up doing Team Melees after the tourney, I get you as my partner again. Our Terran reign shall conquer all! muahaha.

I also loved it when everyone went zerg on BGH and decided to 4 pool me. That was the quickest game i ever played rofl!

team melee is all fine and dandy but lets get the tournament format squared away!

So just like the first lan, it'll be double elim with 5 rounds, ro32, ro16, ro8, ro4, finals, every series is a bo3 with bo5 finals? Map pool iccup maps. Start on destination with losers choice?

Registration runs from 12:45pm-1:45pm with games starting no later than 1:45pm.
