Every now and then a new player shows up that fills me with excitement. In my opinion there are big differences between exciting players and good players. Between entertainers and stone-cold killers. Sometimes they do overlap: just look at Boxer in his glory years. But most of the time, especially in the modern era of macro-centered game play, the players who win game after game do so in a way that doesn't quite keep me on the edge of my seat.
Enter YoonJoong aka BorAdori aka Shuttle aka your new fucking god.
First off the vitals. TLPD lists his age as "??" which is awesome because unknowns are mysterious. What is also Mysterious is why TLPD labels him as 'YoonJoong' despite him never using this handle in any game I have seen a VOD for. Mystery is awesome.
His overall win percent is 44.44%; this might not seem amazing until you consider that 44.44% of the time he wins games in an stylish intense amazing way, and the other 55.56% of the time he loses in a stylish intense amazing way.
So lets discuss some games.
Arena MSL 2008
(Z)Kwanro vs (P)YoonJoong
+ Show Spoiler +This is the game that turned me onto YoonJoong. He opens with the standard FE and starts laying on the pressure. And keeps laying it on. And keeps laying it on. This game is non stop action the entire way through as YoonJoong shows us what an economy-focused build looks like if instead of massing your units you keep the opponent busy with them. Beautiful, Inspiring, and damned sexy play.
Arena MSL Survivor 2008
(T)Ruby vs (P)YoonJoong
+ Show Spoiler +Starts off fairly standard with YoonJoong going for a reaver harass. The harass completely repelled so YoonJoong makes lemonaid out of lemons and sacs the reaver and shuttle to dislodge some of Ruby's tanks and allow a stylish and decisive entrance bust. Aggressive play results in a brutal victory once again for our hero.
(P)YoonJoong vs (P)Stork [18 Sep, 2007] Proleague
+ Show Spoiler +YoonJoong postures himself for an aggressive 2 gate opening and focuses on murdering Stork's probes to make up for the fact that he is putting himself economically behind. This doesn't pay off and he is forced into a defensive posture for a little while.. until he gives Stork a lesson in fucking psionic storming your way to victory. What I loved most about this game was displaying a Tempare/Archon/Zealot dominance over Storks more dragoon-focused army through the power of many well placed psionic storms. Also, YoonJoong.
So in conclusion this is my portrait of YoonJoong. He is an exciting hyper-aggressive player that has shown his ability to bring innovation to the table and come back when the chips are down. + Show Spoiler +Unfortunately he was eliminated from this MSL by the fucking brick wall that is Flash, but

Sometimes I wish I could do nothing but stare at your bum all day, but I'm not sure that's a good idea my love, as people will probably think I'm some kind of nut case and I might get taken away by the men in white coats.
