I finally got a chance to go back to Kart Rider after the KTF Pre-proleague today. They're started a new league sponsored by the messenger service Buddy Buddy and today was the A/B group qualifiers.

The atmosphere is still just as welcoming and it's a really fun esport to attend. (The Nexon photographer even took me out to dinner afterwards

)

Sadly my favourite rider (Kang Jinwoo) didn't qualify for the next round, but it was a great evening anyway. There are a lot more teams represented this season (As opposed to just EoS and ITBank.) and therefore there's a bigger range of players. Plus they've added some official Kart Rider 'Race queens.'

The youngest player is Moon Hojoon - he's an eleven year old league champion. Kart Rider is more accessible to younger players to become pros so generally the age range is a lot lower.

LOL Actually there's a channel that covers Go matches on Korean TV. So it's closer to reality than you think.....

I have a reasonable excuse for this - those girls only attend OSL currently and as soon as the matches begin they leave the booths and go back stage. The Kart Rider girls had their own podium for flag waving and then sat on a sofa for the rest of the races. It was fun photographing them though so I will try and get more SC booth girl shots in the future.
