If I was gonna visit norway, I'd check out the nature and shit, like taking a hike up a mountain or something idk, I was in a place called "setesdal" a few days ago and its fucking beautiful..when I grow old, im gonna retire up there, with a bag of weed and just chill for 20 years. surprising considering norway famous welfare, i guess it must not be applied to immigrants or something.

Well these people mostly aren't registered in this country, and thus get no welfare. As from my understanding anyway. Edit: that is, they can register, but they choose not to. 1. It's architecture is ugly. A lot of concrete buildings from the 60ties and 70ties. 2. It's rainy. 3. It's expensive as hell. 4. It's got a lot of beggars and drug dealers. 5. There are very few interesting museums. 6. The people seem to be frustrated (how unexpected -.-) 7. Public transport is complicated, especially because there are a lot of construction sites and stuff.

Thanks for the advice and help, everyone. Oslo isn't that bad - it reminds me of Montreal - but it seems the real attraction in Norway is the nature and peace, not another trashy city.
