Wow. I am halfway the Dinot vs Idra series and Dinot is a mannered guy. We all know Idra is an asshole, and we love him for it. He is currently starcrafts favorite foreign subject. Incontrol is a dick when he wants to, and he tried to fuck with idra in game two. Didn't really add anything but drama. But hey, that's incontrol. He even had is own drama show on national television. But Dinot, and I quote ingame (after he cheesed two succesful games, 2hatmuta and 3hatspeedling): "I am not proud. But it is better than forfeit." Respect.
Dinot has a new fan. And he should chat a little with ret

I think more people are annoyed by his bm, we just choose not to post and live with it.
Inc was a justified dick. If I'm running a tic-tac-toe tourney, and some hotshot says his pencil ran out of lead and I should go sharpen it for him, I would tell him to go fuck himself.
And Dinot is going to be successful. Such a young manner kid. I'm a new dinot fan.

I was listening to the stream, and some of the shit he said about Idra was hilarious. He does the best Idra impression ever.

Dinot is a nice guy. Had a nice interview with him a year or so ago. Good kid.

Actually, considering the circumstances and the fact that inc did his best to avoid major e-drama I'm not that surprised he got away with it.
Still, being bm and thrashtalking is one thing. Telling the person that could give you 1000$ that he's a faggot is something else though.
Also, I won't go as far to say inc was a dick. Idra coudl have asked him nicely to leave so he stayed to prove a point. I'm pretty sure he would have left sooner if dinot would have asked him aswell.

He seems like a mannered guy and I applaud him for that, also staying calm the whole time. However, I really dislike his style of play, it's absolutely devoid of any notion of finesse or cleverness, it's crude and not entertaining. But those are my personal feelings.  I guess I've been spoiled by the Korean and some of the more slick/clever foreigners.
Not gonna comment on the Idra - Dinot game apart from that, it's generating enough discussion in the appropriate thread.

Well if u are going to play against Idra and try to win doing a macro game u will probably lose (except u are ret.. he can win on a macro game against idra or B-teamers).
Dinot was just doing what he needs to do to win 1k... and if bisu, fantasy or any other progamer cheese its just to get a win. its simple and smart.
Go Dinot u can take White-ra ;D

I agree that if it works and money's on the line, it would be unwise not to do it. However, I still think it's a fucking ugly and basic style of play. I was just saying I hope he gets knocked out so I don't have to see him play again and that it's a shame he knocked someone out of the tournament that gives me a lot more joy to watch, not that he 's wrong to play the way he does, it obviously worked.

cus thats a good strategy like do a fast expand or a 14cc =P

What are you trying to accomplish by arguing with me about what I literally phrased as my personal opinion of his style - in which I mostly focused on issues with it that are personal preference? It's incomparable with any one of the players you mentioned. If they use those strategies it's generally a) well thought out and strategically sound b) well executed c) part of a larger plan or at least with some kind of follow-up if it fails.
On top of that, those players can pull it off because they are (or were) a notch above most of the players they play so it's not their one and only option to go balls out with a strategy like the ling all-ins and hope for the best, it just happened to be judged by them as one of the most viable options given the circumstances. The Idra - Dinot matchup qualifies for neither of those points because Idra 's superior in most if not all aspects of the game and Dinot knows that if the game goes past 7 minutes Idra will tear him a new asshole (which I think Idra would do in any case if he wasn't stubborn in his early game). I said his style of play was crude in my eyes, you're gonna tell me the styles of play of the players you mentioned are crude as well? -_-
