You could also give various trusted folks access to mod the chat. I'm not sure how that works though, so it may be too much of a pain. TL IRC would be best, since we don't have to deal with 99% of the users being anonymous.

^While yes, it's naive to not expect trolling/flaming, I don't think his reaction is that hard to understand. It's not a matter of feeling the need to be "accepted by every single person" he meets; he just felt it was disrespectful when he was offering a service to the community.

Anyway, he's said he's going to disable chat now so all is good.

I used your stream like 2 times (I have luck with streams so always watch the direct ones or daum) but the times that I use streams of you/mystlord/etc... even the ret one...
Trolls are always on the streams with chat... its just people without life. Its the better choice, maybe now you can watch the matches and enjoy more =P

You really expected to please everyone? You're likely to experience something similar in every aspect of life so it's probably a good idea to deal with it somehow - explain to people what you find wrong with what they are doing and if there is no talking sense into them ignore them.

Many other popular streams turn off chat, people just expect everything when you give it to them - they'll forget about it if you just run the stream without it, because if they really wanted to talk during the game they can spam IRC.

LMAO, this is like a situation back in freshman year.

Some black kid in my PE class would keep messing around with my friend and me in the locker room. My other friend would defend himself, causing more trouble. All I had to do was ignore him and he wouldn't bother me.

As 'faseman' said, I find it really stupid to even give a second thought to flamers on the internet. It just blows my mind why you would care what they say. It's like a random person passing you on the street saying "you're a huge douchebag". Would you be offended and QQ in a thread on TL? Of course not, because who gives a shit? If they really had something to offend you with, I'd somewhat sympathize with you but really? This thread reeks of "give me attention please". No matter how much you might think that you didn't make it for that, I'm sure you can't deny that a tiny bit of you did want it for that.
