Hello,

Lately I have been bored out of my mind until I go on vacation and sometimes I just don't feel like playing sc. So I'm asking you all if you could recommend some movies and maybe even link to a stream where I can watch it. I'm more into action movies and racing.

I'll mention some stuff that I seen so you get an idea of what I'm looking for. Gran Torino, fast and the furious, rush hour, rocky balboa. Stuff like that but if you think you know a really good movie that doesn't relate to the action sense, please do recommend it.

Bye bye ^^

Pan's Labryinth

This movie will be well worth your time. And of course, the Godfather trilogy if you haven't already seen it.
Shorts down shorts up, BOOM, just like that.

Good Night, and Good Luck
The Bourne Series
Saving Private Ryan
Shawshank Redemption

The middle two will appeal to your personal movie tastes. The outer two are my favorites.

If you want good action, definitely check out Tony Jaa. His two best are Tom Yum Goong (The Protector in US release) and Ong Bak. He's a Thai fighter whose action scenes are unbelievable.

If you want a comedic over the top action flick, look up Shoot Em' Up or Wasabi. Both are utterly ridiculous.

Warning: Rant incoming.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

Pan's Labyrinth is, without a single doubt in my mind, the most overrated movie I've ever had the misfortune of seeing!

I simply cannot fathom the hype and adoration surrounding this - everyone seems to have 'gasmed watching this movie, and I simply don't understand why. The plot is contrived and ultimately pointless, the characters shallow and without developement, and the setting completely failed to integrate with the story.

The girl is fucking retarded. "O hai, let's eat grapes for no fucking reason." "Let's be an idiot even though my brother's not actually in any danger."

Not to mention that the whole ambiguitiy of the fantasy world's existence completely failed - I can see the intent of the fantasy world, about the escape from reality, but then the movie destroys all that by FORCING you to conclude that the fantasy world existed, or the girl had a serious mental defect. Because if the fantasy world did not exist, the film's ending would've made no sense. Blargh.

I understand this post probably came out as an incoherent jumbo, but seriously, very few things piss me off as much as praise for Pan's Labyrinth these days. I just can't over what people see in it T_T

I didn't gasm watching that movie when it came out but it was boner inducing, and not because there was an 8 year old girl in it.

You do realize that it was a fantasy movie right? It doesn't have to make sense because the fantasy side to the movie was largely used as symbolism. Not sure what your on about with character development as well, it was pretty dam good even though the movie was more focused on theme development

Most overrated movie is either silence of the lambs or shawshank redemption for me.

action movies hmm ill list some of my favourite very action orientated action movies:

Aliens: amazing sci fi action, lots of guns, lots of aliens, and blizzard has taken a lot of quotes from this movie and put them into starcraft. Imo the best action movie ever.

Terminator 2: If you havnt seen this, see it. just some amazing sequences that beat terminator 3 and 4 easily.

starship troopers: an action movie that also parodies propaganda and war violence. Funny as hell but don't ever see the sequels.

drunken master: is apparently very good but i havn't seen it yet.

Except the theme developement (fantasies as an escape from the harsh realities of life) became muddled and confused and utterly pointless because of crappy acting by the girl and a horribly contrived plot.

And, what, a "fantasy movie" is a good excuse for the movie to suck and not make sense? >_>

Like, the movie didn't really "suck," but I'd give it like, a 7/10 as opposed to "OMFG BEST MOVIE EVAAAAAAR 10000/10 WATCH NAO!!!"

Thx for the recommendations and yea I have seen most of these. I'll definitely look into the others, and I also like Training day, Next, gone in 60 seconds, American gangster, that should give you a more vivid idea, I'm flexible. And these titles look nice thx once again ^_^

The rock is in my opinion one of the best action movies ever made.
Im sure you've seen it though, but its worth watching it again :D

GI Jane is also a very entertaining action movie...hmm what else..A clockwork orange isnt exactly an action movie, but there's a group of people going around kicking the shit out of complete strangers. The movie is really weird, but its one of those movies you just have to see at least once.

Got insane music as well. One of those movies which get 10 times better with a bit of weed, but also very good to watch without:D
