ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4GHZ --- 2 of these, so dual processor i guess
Radeon X1950 Crossfire Edition Radeon X1950 Crossfire Edition
a fast CD/DVDW - i dnt know the speeds
300 GB 5400 rpm HD 140 GB 10000 rpm HD
3 GB Corsair ram DDR2 800
standard nice case
and on the side I also have a 21" wide screen apple monitor that is still pretty nice even though its like 4 years old. but the back of it is broken (the stand part). i dunno how much that would detract from it's value. it was really expensive when i bought it
ok the end

I have no idea I'm just gonna go with a wild guess at around 7000-10k ?
Someone who knows better please correct me if needed ^^
EDIT: Sorry I wrote in Swedish crowns, my mistake, I meant around 500-800 dollars :D

lol zoler are u being serious? if u are joking its weird but i guess kind of funny
i mean i didnt even buy it for nearly that much, and that was when it was new and expensive
|
I highly doubt 7k...I'm pretty sure you could buy all those parts new for a cheaper overall price.
You'll probably make more if you sell them individually...but I don't know much about the resale value of hardware.

7-10k is like 500-800 dollars

e6600 or Q6600?
I would say you can fetch 600 or $700 USD depending on your bargaining ability.
e6600 is a 65nm chip. crap and out-dated. Q6600 is a Quad core and great for over-clocking and discontinued now...

I think I got it pretty right compared to the other answers, woho

Witch is ALOT better, but it's company made so if you really want you can get much more better stuff if you buy parts separately - To sell that computer I guess you could get more by selling the parts one for one instead of everything (it's good to have all the other stuff untlil you buy your next comp) So i'm quite shocked about the price ranges in this thread!
If I where you I would sell the CPU/GPU(maybe) motherboard and the memory sticks.
Your processor (cpu) is outdated and just 2 cores, you can get quad for the same price as you bought it when it was new.
Your GPUs are allright I think with a little bit of clocking you can match a 7800gts card.
The memory sticks is easy to sell just say OMG IT'S 3 GB IT'S GOOD.. And you have found a buyer but they are bad man so so bad.
I think you can get max 100USD or more if you can find someone stupid and rip them off.

the monitor would be free...
GPUs are good but outdated, the ram is totally fine, u have a 140 GB 10k rpm which spd from wat i hear isn't noticeably diff from SSD (though they are definitely so much louder!) but that's about all the good things and yet this has been used which drops the price of all these part by half by default am im gonna go out on a limb a say u bought this wohle system about 4 yrs ago or so
sooo im putting my money @ around 400 dollars, sry if it's low but cus of the amount of time u've used the comp would dictate that i replace all if not most of ur parts (HD's would be failing in about 2 yrs or so if im not careful)

Yeah, the people who are sayng more than like 1-200 are insane. It's a used, older comp.

I'm amazed at the prices people are giving you. I don't think they know much about computers. >.>
$400 is a better guess, but it might be lower. You can get Q8400 + mobo combos for under $300 these days and your video cards are waaaay below the 8800gt line. Not to mention physically, those parts are 4 years old which means the remaining lifespan on that motherboard and hard drives isn't very good.
Then again, a lot of people don't know these things (ie. rest of the people in this thread) so you might be able more out of someone in the classifieds but I don't think you really want to trick some poor schmuck into paying a lot more than it's worth. I'd probably go $300-350 just because of that 10k hd.

It's kinda like directly saying you don't know shit about computers. Which isn't a bad thing, not everyone should know everything... but is sad none the less, as it makes me wonder who was the bastard that advised you into throwing your cash on weird 10k rpm and 5400 rpm (2.5 inch?) hdds and crossfire and an apple monitor in the first place, when you apparently don't know or care enough about PCs to have a need for those. 3GB ram is also weird, as if its 3x1GB then you're not using dual channel and so it's working slower, and if it's 2x1GB + 2x512MB you have to be sure they are paired correctly for dual channel, and also if they were bought at different times they would often have different timings and specs and the older chips might be slowing down the newer ones so it could be just better to use the newer 2x1GB... etc.
Do you have a newer computer and is it anything like the old one again? I mean in that it has expensive shit that you're not gonna need? Perhaps if you need cash selling some of the newer components would be a better choice.

I say it again, it will be no more than 1-200USD.

People are really giving some awful estimates here. I agree with the selling price of 100-200 USD.
|
My guess is ~300 with the monitor, there's no way you can get 600-700 for that, sorry.

There's a screen too!

I think that PC is okay, the 2x x1950 would actually most likely play games like fallout 3 and oblivion and whatnot, 3gb of RAM isn't bad, although the HDD's are wierd (i would definately swap for 1TB version) but yeah that is definately a wierd build. 10,000 rpm drive is kind of useless but i can see storing things like games and stuff on there, generally performance buffs have those to squeeze 2 or 3 more fps out of games.
|
$340-$380 if sold individually. Minus 10-20% if sold all together. I used to sell used comps and parts for 2 yrs as my primary job.
|
depreciation is a bitch for desktops.
|
Fix the apple monitor if possible.
Also, sell it separately from the computer. It's probably going to fetch something like 80% of what your computer would sell for. I would imagine that it could easily fetch ~300+ in good shape.
|
Considering the Graphics Cards, It's extraordinarily unlikely that your core is a Q6600. Which, all told, means that this computer is not very good. I would pay $200 including the monitor (because Apple LCDs are pretty slick, and 21 inches is big enough). If you sell to somebody who is clueless and blik them, you could get $400 (if I was selling it I would try to get $400 anyway)
|
$150-$250 depending on how much of a sucker you can find.
|
I'd say 500 tops, probably make more if you sell each part separately though.

Do you think it might be possible to take apart your computer and possibly sell it for more than the entire package done together?
If I tried to buy all the parts (say even used) and make a computer, wouldn't that cost more than just buying a used computer?

Maybe even 1 trillion $.
Zimbabwe dollars that is...
Seriously, Id estimate 500-700$ If Brood War is installed 1200-1400$ o_O Try to auction it. When I auction my furniture, sometimes, I get offers I would never had imagined. =)
