Thought i'd make something out of my first post... so i decided to start posting today where i started on the new ICCup season
I'm JonsaBoy, D protoss player on ICCUP and horrible against Terran. :S
ICCup profile
So i got a bit late start on this season (i played a single match earlier in the season, but that was with a friend and he's not really good). I've played for the last two seasons and never achieved higher rank than D. I hope to get a lot of fun matches this season and hopefully get to D+
I did four battles today.
First one was PvT on Gods Garden, and i was extremely nervous. Did standard 1 gate core tech and proceeded to macro off 2 bases. The guy turtled and i contained him, and proceeded to take my third. Macro going horrible, but i felt like i was ahead. Results in spoiler:
+ Show Spoiler +I won, by waiting untill the mech ball went down to secure the third, and then attacking before he could mine up or siege. He was horrible, but it still felt good to win in your worst matchup.
Replay
I lost the next two matches. First another PvT, horrible for me, and even more horrible when the guy goes random. Seeing random, i decide to go 2 gate, but his vultures get out in time and kill off my lots. I was dead here, but kept playing, only to get humiliated badly. The other match was more humiliating, i really fail horribly. Died to a huge mech ball while i sat passively and felt like an idiot. Didn't save replays, nothing to watch anyways but blue goo.
Finally, a PvP. Much better. We had lots of lag in this game, even putting the game on extra high latency didn't work. So we continued even with lag, with him going towards reaver harrass and me deciding to do some wierd 2 base push. He ends up killing almost every probe in my bases, but i kill his army and end up winning.
I went 2-2 today. It feels really great being back on ICCup and improving. I'l write another blog when something fun happens.

Wait, you're a protoss player in the D ranks of ICCUP? That's awesome I'm tired of the lack of protoss users.

i got my bike back from a mechanic and i drove to smoke some weed and i almost killed myself on flat ground. im totally fucked up. and the best part is that i fucked up my phone too. :/!

dont 2gate against random. Go 1gate tech and scout after pylon. This build will work against all 3 races. If you see T or P then makes goons after 1-2 zeals and play normally. If you see Z then continue with zeals and fast tech to sair/dt then expand when dts are out.

If you racepick against a random, espeically in a series, it's good to throw an FE in there somewhere. They won't be expecting it after a couple 2-gates and 1-gate techs.
