California's being driven into the ground. Those special elections really all needed to go through, and even then we'd still be in trouble.

Meanwhile the Federal government continues to underfund and underaid us while giving more money to states that enjoy comfortable budget surpluses.

I know this is in large part due to our progressive income tax, but... well... we're really all to blame for letting our spending get so out of hand in the first place.

That basically just means an extra semester of class right? I'm not sure what cal poly's policy is, but my university allows up to 4.5 years, so it'd still work out maybe? Besides, with the economy the way it is, graduating half a year later might not be that bad. I have a friend who's still working in the dining common with me cause he graduated 2 years ago and lost his job once the economy took a plummet and haven't found another one yet.

Wait, I'm confused. How much does your university depend on federal help? Doesn't tuition pay most of the universities expenses? I really have no idea.

Yeah, but we also get to spend it on useless shit like the new train system we voted in -_-;;

A lot of the tuition for the CSU and UCs are subsidized by the government already.

the govenator cut some taxes...turned out we needed those taxes.Turns out that this gets really bad when hollywood goes on strike, a recession hits, and all the other crap that going on hits the fan.
