I GET IT. Zulu is arguing successfully that he won't argue about those topics!

thats easy, it going diagonally up, like The Leaning Tower of Pisa only more dangerous angle.

It's still going up, but it'll soon crash down.

I take that as a "down" in total. Anyway, I'd like a zulu explanation on this one, as I am genuinely curious about his point of view.

It is ethical for governments to forcefully control population sizes because the earth only has finite resources and we already have a population unsustainable with current technology. Without mandatory population control we will harm both humankind and the environment more than would otherwise happen.

How can say you'll argue about anything when you're arguing about anything except what you won't argue about, you're basically doing the opposite of arguing about anything but I suppose unless you say you'll argue anything most people won't try to argue anything and then you wouldn't be able to argue about anything at all so either way you end up arguing whatever you want to argue except you could argue that one way is more likely to reduce spam and deter smartarses who think it's fun to try get you to argue about inarguable or arguably poorly defined topics.

everyone studies epistemology, the meaning of true knowledge varies greatly. But not until phenomenology do we get out of dualism (not really) and can actually investigate true knowledge or being instead of assuming we can never get to it. True knowledge itself really doesn't mean anything, the development of epistemology has been on how to obtain it.

Men are better than women. First off, we are undeniably superior to them physically. Studies has also shown that we are inherently greater when it comes to mathematics as well as logical and spatial thinking. Men are the driving force behind the scientific evolution that is constantly improving our living conditions.

zulu, I was genuinely curious about what you could come up with, but in the end this appears to be an opinion blog, rather than an argument blog. It's not about answering questions, it's about finding reasons for those answers. The least you can do in argumentative form is

1) Answer the question straight away
2) Point out why the question is ill-formulated
2a) Reformulate the question in a better way and answer it
2b) Argue why you should not answer this question

All the steps of 1 or 2 can be done as an argument.

Then when does one know what is 'truth'? When everyone agrees on it? Because as far as I know, the catholic church hasn't always been correct about the universe. (But then again, how do we know what we know now is the truth?)

yes... i also believe the catholic church hasn't always been right about the universe. Truth always has conditions. There is no universal and eternal truth. More importantly you should give up the curiosity or desire for absolute truth because its really quite dumb.

You are doing it the wrong way around. This is your blog, so you should do the work. So let me rephrase your questions and hand them back:

1) What possible meanings does "culture" have?
2) How essential is culture for being "human"?

IF there is something that is true, then it's universal and eternal. That's how truth is defined most of the time (unless you do it functionally). The question you are hinting at is rather if there IS truth at all.

Is there any tendency in the development of this culture? Any point of view you sympathize with? (now you can include modern art and continental philosophy )

Then, do you think 'truth' is bound by consensus and applies for only a specific time-frame? Because before Einstein, things were thought to be 'true', then *bam*, Einstein appears and shatters 'truth', creating new 'truth'.

Yes I think theory of relativity is a very good example. What exactly are you studying? If you are studying "truth" within physical or human sciences I suggest you look into Thomas Kuhn and paradigms.

Studying "Knowledge and Inquiry". (I'm guessing it's more known as "Logic" in the US?)

Learning how to identify fallacies, identifying illogical thinking, countering arguments (and defining the argument), proving the validity of sources/'truth' through the modes of inquiry, etc. Just started, so I'm not that good yet :3
