The budget for the Memphis Police force: $198 Million
As of now Memphis is the 2nd most violent city in the United States. And again the Memphis police got another budget cut and crime has increased. Why on earth any Police Officer, or anyone for that matter think this city is worth saving, or can be turned around is beyond me. The police have to buy their own vests, and even have to call for backup using their own cellphones when their radios decide not to work. This year it is being discussed how the city can save money and cutting salaries for police is on the list. Great job.
It's time to let everyone be responsible for themselves. The gangs of the city will obviously keep killing each other as well as the majority of the crooks, and low life. It will just be another day for them. Let them do us a favor by letting them do the dirty work, the majority of this city is dilapidated housing, abandoned buildings, parking lots, that are covered in weeds, and garbage. All prime areas of drug use, panhandling etc. Set them ablaze and let one of nature's elements do the rest. Burn everything it touches to the ground. You will be surprised how clean something looks when it has been purged by fire, no garbage, hidden narcotics are gone, and maybe a drunk or overdose are consumed as well. Oh well. Not our loss.
As always Memphis is home to freeloaders, unemployment, food stamps, and welfare. Which nine times of 10 their handicap is drug use or having three kids by age 21. Oh well. Time to shut down federal offices, pack up and leave. Hunger will force the low life's to rob and with no gun control in the city; probability will take charge. The others will break their habit and get a job or move. Win/Win.
The good people will have had seen the city's decline and moved on long ago. Making sure to flip the city off as they drove across the river or left the cities limits.
