As such I was looking around at things like this:
![[image loading]](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b5kzBGDiu9s/SZ1xWvRQ1dI/AAAAAAAAC8o/Omqfv_4DMas/s400/com-grip-black.jpg)
I found quite a few different kinds and brands and was curious if anyone has any preference or tips on which to use and which to avoid.

http://www.captainsofcrushgrippers.com/ironmind/opencms/grippers/ take a look at the ratings on the left column for the difficulties for each. they seem to have become more beginner friendly too, as back when my friend and i used them, the easiest was the trainer (which was very challenging if you're only acquainted with cheap grippers).

And no, I wouldn't feel terribly weird using it on the train. It's not like I'm lifting weights or anything. Also, what's a plonker? Never heard that term. O_o

You could try to go for some bodyweight exercises on the train, but you will probably sweat. Leaves you with the 3 standard things to do on a train. Sleep, talk to random strangers or lock yourself in the toilet and fap.
