I'm a damn geek.
So I'm looking into expanding my knowledge a bit further and would like to know what you guys think are good, just general programming forums (for discussion), sites (for information, reference), blogs (fun reads, tips, etc), videos, news, and what not. I'm mostly into C/C++ but anything in general will do.
I've been surfing the web for some forums which I can join, but most of them are just made up of 10 people max and the latest activity that ever happened in there was months ago, if at all.
Also there seems to be not many programming videos out there and most of them are simple "hello world" programs or the Berkeley classes on Scheme. There should be some fun videos out there! (like the java vs ruby stuff lol)
So I'll be using this blog as a reference to all the things you guys want to post, and since I'm pretty much done with this semester, I'll be spending the couple weeks I got of vacations just learning, and chillin.
thanks yo~

if you're interested in high level lectures on current technology, google tech talks are usually pretty interesting. also, some of the ted talks touch on cs stuff (but usually on a layman's level)
hackernews is the only cs-related news site i check anymore

if you have a little bit of money, making electronics and gear can be kind of fun. If you're already doing computer science stuff for college/studies, you might think about learning the hardware side of it.

im no programmer, and maybe u already know about it, but
http://sourceforge.net/
obviously this isn't a blog or forums (well it does have forums though)
but it has open source programs u can look at, so many, so it seems like it would still be something any programmer would be into
