Hello, I was gonna record some starcraft and street fighter shit, so I decided to download guncam..using the trial now.
Anyway, what happens is that every time I start recording, everything lags like hell.
These are my settings in guncam:
Capture setup:
-Capture rate : 15 fps
-Video size: 640x480
-Capture window size: 640x480
Advanced setup
-200 frames in buffer
-use direct x
-Fast compression 2
Video export setup
-Use divx
-Have not selected 'use compression'.
This is what I've done to resolve the issue:
-Unplugged my TV from my graphics card, in case dual monitoring fucked it up.
-Installed the newest version of directx
-Installed the newest version of xvid.
-Searched the web+this forum without any good results.
My computer is very good, and im using an ATI graphics card.

when I was trying to get guncam to work, I kept reading people tell me to turn off hardware accelleration. It didn't work for me, but it may be worth trying for you! (I don't remember how exactly to do this, I think its somewhere in the control panel)...
Also, try and close anything that may be conflicting with guncam

The only issue I have now, is slighly "lag" when I scroll etc, but I guess thats a side effect of having shut off hardware acceleration.

is there a way to get guncam for free?
i.e stop the trial timer?
or disable it?
