Hello Team Liquid.
I'm bored out of my skull, and have decided to post a blog, you lucky dogs, you.
Why am I bored, you ask? "It's 1am over in Edmonton, just go to sleep!" you may exclaim. Well, I would.
If it wasn't for this piece of shit homework due tomorrow... err, today. I'm pulling an all-nighter at the University, assuming that it's better than sleeping at the University. Why not go home? I missed the last LRT, because I lost track of time, because I've been doing my homework for so long.
Sighhhhhhhhh...
I feel like I need some more content here rather than a boring, unimaginative rant. Musically, I'm going to be pulling out some more songs and transcribed poems for you guys, and I know I've been promising this for a while, but both my mic and webcam are total shit. I'll be purchasing proper ones after finals are over. (About 3 weeks)
Other random things to type on about as I take my well deserved break:
Friends. Who are your true friends? How many true friends do you have? Personally, I can probably say I am truly mutual true friends with three people, not including immediate family. These are people that I would go out of my way or sacrifice something important for.
Relationships. Although girls are icky, I find myself lonely and looking for more. (I'm kidding about the ickiness, I'm not gay, thanks.) That said, I have to shamefully admit that I have no time to develop relationships. I would probably be able to sustain one, but as it stands, I simply do not have time to grow and nurture a caring environment for that special someone.
School. I think staying all night at the University for some petty homework shows my dedication (and perhaps lack of common sense). I hope to one day be a Professor, so I'm working hard towards my marks this term. Having gone through less than my share of bad professors (my fair share will come in a couple more years), I can honestly say that I would like to help society by educating University students properly. Two of my current profs read strictly out of the textbook, and it's irritating, to say the least.
Goals. I just want to live the best life I can- people tell me that my best years are already behind me
For those who read all that, sorry for wasting your time. If you'd like to share your own thoughts, please do so. I'd love to read them, and perhaps satisfy my boredom for the time being.

You are really bored mikey. Im too, so sad im about 2/1 bored/lazy to write something more meaningful but i can tell you this: i still dont know what friendship is exactly, or puting it in a better way im not sure. I know i would sacrifice things for some people but i know that there are things that i wouldnt for anyone not even my family. I know id sacrifice important things for "friends" but again there are important things that id sacrifice for non-friends or strangers too. Friendship is one of the most random strange things id ever encountered in my life, all my attemps to get a form of definition have become useless. Good luck there.

I'm procrastinating hw too! We are soul mates.

hi5 330am here.. well i'm not procrastinating now i surely didn't do myself a favor for leaving these end-of-term projects until the very end though.
and i lied, i'm procrastinating a little bit. but only a tiny bit, i swear
allnighters at uni suck when you're alone imo =( when it's a big group project though, it's actually fun to see people suffer with you <3 it's one of the reasons i'm considering taking some realtime in my term after next... won't be leaving that lab for the whole term lol

but what if it's some big project that should take months!? it's all relative, i draw the line at losing significant sleep. If i have to sleep <4.5hr due to schoolwork at some point, then i procrastinated at some other point.
all nighters would fall in that category too ^-^ go back to work imo, finish up and get some sleep

So I did my homework and felt like a one hour nap wouldn't be adequate. If anybody April Fool's me irl they're gonna be one sorry mofo.

Right now i'm procrastinating sleep. dont even know why, i dont really like staying up either. sigh.
|
I just slept for 13 hours... missed a deadline and almost missed another deadline. Shit, when did sleeping become so dangerous.

I find myself doing the same thing, staying up and trying to complete my homework. But what is the worst part of it is staying up in class while the teacher is lecturing on the material directly out of the book. Lecture is x10 more exhausting/boring and staying conscious is x100 harder. It feels like your eyes are starting to burn threw your eyesockets.
I have lots of friends, but 4-5 I can truly say are dearest to me. It never gets easier if communication starts to fade though it's a constant reminder to at least maintain contact with individuals.
