People keep using my computer to play the game. I've uninstalled it but they keep reinstalling it back.
I tell them to stop, but it's no use.
So is there a way to "lock" or make the program crash?
HELP ITS SO ANNOYING LOL

In that way, they'll be using the Guest account and wouldn't have anyway of installing programs in your computer Hmn, best idea so far. But a hassle to do while allowing freedom for them to work while denying any way to get CS on the computer. =( Let them frag it out and fail the classes. Then they'll drop out and you'll get new room mates who you can introduce to BW =D

It's just that they cannot install some programs since they don't have the administrative privileges... Also, it's a great way of securing your computer when it comes to viruses since some malwares/viruses uses an administrative account to install themselves automatically in Disk Drives.

You're right, I'm sooo used to being Administrator that when I install programs and it asks for "This User or All users on this computer" I for some reason assume guests can too.

2. A goddamn retard, that is 3. Create a guest account without admin privileges for them 4. Use the parental control feature in Vista to forbid running certain programs for that guest account In XP there's no such easy solution, so you either install 3rd party software for that or you change the file permissions of the respective .exe files so that the guest user cannot run the program(s). Needs an NTFS filesystem of course, but if you still use FAT32 see #2 anyway

As deadbeef said, make a secondary account for them. If they're saavy enough to get around that (say by using a linux boot disk and wine or a ported CS version) then I'd say you really better have a good long talk with them about trust. Maybe that should be your first option.

Or you simply can't tolerate that you're facilitating their brain rot? (Just curious, doesn't really change anything...) As deadbeef said, make a secondary account for them. Sometimes I need to check up on something important or study for a test/quiz or whatever so yeah I'll make a secondary account then. This should work out though. Why did I never think of that? X_X Thanks guys!!

My roommates used to think it's funny to leave on on meatspin.com (NSFW) on my computer. I went to my hosts file (located in the system folder for Windows) and made most variations on that URL to redirect to localhost, on which I set up a "fuck off" message in big red letters. In other words, you can easily make certain web addresses resolve to something else.
