So yesterday I found out there was a prize for sc2gg starleague~
I had about 30 hours to kill till I leave on a trip, so i figured i would create a ladder account and test myself to get B- within that time.. so 24 hours passed and i played 61 games and went from D - C+ skipped sleeping, just gamed all night and all day.
Figured since im going to stop here since (obviously i need sleep) becasue im leaving on my trip in 8 hours, i would share some reps with tl.net ~

Yeah ZvP used to be my worst matchup, so I worked on that and then suddenly mech comes along and now ZvT is by far my worst. Which is sad because my ZvP isn't much better.

I never ever ever had a problem with ZvP, that MU clicked immediately for me pretty much the same with ZvZ.
ZvT owns me so bad though, I hate mutalisk openings because I suck at muta control unless its for templar sniping but really, higher level ZvT kinda requires at least mutalisk openings half the time. I just have to suck it up one day and learn it properly.
God ZvT pisses me off, I am usually thrilled when they go mech :/

And yes, I played a tonne. But the difference between Incontrol and me is that I was really good by the end of 2002 when I stopped hacking and really loved every minute of the game.

Incontrol was never good. He was a tournament slot filler at best. Nothing more. Example: Mondragon and I were a sure win for clan wars. It was pretty much starting out at 2-0. However we hated sending Incontrol out even vs opposing teams bad players. We weren't even going to let him in the team because he was so bad but I had to convince Mondi to because I was his friend at the time. If that's a good example. He was a stain on our lineup that made the team look worse / easier to get into.
This isn't a lie or something to make him look bad. Just an accurate portrayal. I find it funny that he (of all people) accused me of leeching off better players skill, because in 2003 I was regularly playing professional gamers. I never asked to join Nal_ or sucked up to gamers. I had too much ego and pride for that. But after playing on gamei I was simply respected enough and was offered a slot. I was surprised and honoured and happy to belong there, especially as a random player. Which is very different from whenever he joined ToT) he was a... "ehhh he sucks too much to let in.. but sure let's let him in anyway" as he leeched off better players and barely improved because we'd still toss him around when we were bored of playing better people than him. He shouldn't have even been in any games with me or Mondragon. He's too low a player. He played one race, and sucked at it. The difference is huge.

I won a national championship. I took 4th in the TLT2 testie took 3rd. I have been invited to this and qualified for that. I never have delusions of thinking I was ever top foreigner or top 5 or 10 really. I think I play this game mostly for fun and it has taken me this far. And I'm really happy with that. dont wanna go off topic but does anyone else have problems play sc when extremely tired? i just played this protoss 60 apm nub who did 2 gate goon every single time against me pvz and i always got raped. he didn't even expand or anything just did the exact same 1 base 2 gate goon build and completely annihilates me
i dont really do anything wrong in my games but i just cant seem to react to his threats and builds no matter how hard i try

Incontrol and I aren't exactly friends, but in all fairness, I can't think of him ever bragging about being good at Starcraft. I can remember him bragging about other things, but never that. There's nothing wrong with him enjoying having fans and gracefully accepting their compliments - that's what a grown up would do.

well, both inc and testie went to wcg, and both were pretty top level players, maybe testie was better in his time, but its not really an achievement gap thats so hugely large to the extent that testie was saying.
in fact i'd say the wcg ultimate gamer show is way bigger than anything testie accomplished and pretty much balances out their resumes.
