Ugh, just watched the Idra F91 games. So sad for me... Idra is my idol, the white Korean basically. He inspired me to even want to try to get good with SC/SCII (if its able to be played at the pro level).

It's really unfair to lump fbh and idra together.
fbh is more like inc, super bm but funny in the way they do it. idra is super bm but rude and quite serious in the way he does it.

I agree with this, i still respect idra though, because i have a temper sometimes and i try to not be BM but when i just cant help it... A lot of games when i lose i sit there at my desk and just sit, and sit, just thinking of all the things i did wrong and i never think of anything i do right.
So i understand BM to a certain extent. And i havnt seen too much BM from Idra...

Knowing what to do and actually doing it under pressure are 2 entirely different things.
You here about it all the time in interviews with newer players. They are constantly talking about how they do really well in practice but can't preform right when they get on tv because they get so nervous.

Seriously? You're hating on someone for using big words? Just because you don't use or hear those words in your daily life, doesn't mean they aren't common. You may think it's idiotic, and that's good for you, but I think it's more important to look at the content of the post than the word usage.
As for IdrA, I hope he makes it big, but his posts definitely aren't what you make them out to be.

Well one thing to keep in mind is that this forum is filled with people from all over the world, and a lot of them havent even heard those words, so if you want your message to reach the users, you write it as understandable as possible. If that is the point of making the post, which I assume it is :p

A non-Korean Terran practicing WITH FUCKING CJ Entus is a wet dream for any aspiring Iccup terran newbie.
But when you get to see bits of the actual person (or at least you deduce them from the person's behavior within the community) and see nothing more than someone incredibly rude and insecure, with a ton of stubbornness attached it becomes really disappointing. Making a parallel with the Korean progamers I like the most, I find myself only truly cheering for the likes of savior, july, nada, boxer or nal_ra not because of how fantastically good they've been at some point (I actually missed out on all of them save savior) but )because they've been along for a while and they had the opportunity to display some character, and fans perceived it, well at least formally. No matter how much I like Terran and how goddamned impressive Flash is, I still find myself hesitant to really cheer for him, because I have little idea of the actual person.
Idra on the other hand makes it painfully obvious. I would've continued to cheer for him unhinged, if only his loss wasn't made 10 times worse by his attitude.

anyway there are hordes of koreans that play 10+ hours a day and can't become as good as the average B teamer. i think white guys have a similar success rate as koreans but many of our failures aren't due simply to skill level while the same can't be said for those koreans.

I think it's just his use of the word "nigh" that is really awkward. Technically it makes sense, but it sounds really bad in that context. Plus it's a huge shift from the writing style of the previous paragraph, which makes it sound off. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch about tho. Just a tad pompous.

if you read the start of the thread i was totally for idra. now i just am at a dissonant standpoint because of how BM he is, which is technically a good thing because now i have determination like never before to try really fricken hard to get good.. I never said he sucked, and i specifically asked for no flaming.
