EPTAnd you really do need drones eco to be able to fight mech, another mistake I made was not making 4-6 scourge with my initial muta because he starported so valkyries were very likely, and indeed the 3rd was a little late. Defense vs harass can always be better of course. I should have maybe powered even more because he was low on unit and camped to his 3rd for a while, getting more expoes and faster hive/defiler. Agression really will get you nowhere vs mech, at one point you need mass units and defiler/ling to be able to fight a good player doing it. (good players won't die to drops unless you're really ahead) Once he had 4 valkyries and the middle camped defiler/mass crackling was really the only option, he had a vessel too so he was just gonna own mutas bad, and was able to mass tank cuz muta threat was neutralized..really tough.

You had him forced into gol/tank from (as far as you know) 2 or 3 factorys, this can play out exactly like zvp(5 hat hydra/muta) or even hydra/lurker. Most of my analysis is about the decisions that are possible from the time his CC lifted until you had your third mining. Why would you want him guessing about hydras btw? I want terran to always think I'm going pure hydra at all times. Otherwise how do you force him into over producing tanks/vultures? We do differ alot in approaches. Although the way you played in the vs mech thread, is exactly how I approach it. Oh and the drops are ... 2-3 lords of hydras, I do'nt doom drop. I delay drop. I don't actually intend to win from them, just inflict damage, pick off depots/turrets. nothing major. | ||

I just like to show my hand, force him to go early tank, earlier second fact. Delay his Acad/Ebay so even if I can't stop his expo, I ruin his standard timing. Drops are a way to keep preasure on when mutas and front door hydra can't. I think doom droping is just like saying " here is a free win" | ||
