They talked about many interesting theories that seems coincidentally conclude that there would be somethings big happen in 2012 that might be the end of the Earth. The theories come from the Mayan calender, Merlin the wizard (or somethings like that, I couldn't remember), some oracles, a book called I-Ching and the web-bot project... They said that Poles Shift, the process that changes the positions of North and South Poles, might happen in 2012. They also talked about some other natural disasters that might bring the end to life on the Earth on that day and even nuclear war. According to it, the date is December 21st 2012.

Since there are a few different things that point to 2012 the actual date varies, but it usually has to do with the winter solstice. which is dec 19-24 or something. Also there is a lot of weird shit happening in 2012, check the wiki for it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012 The beginning of the age of aquarius, Lots of stuff related to this. Jesus said something about returning in a new age when the water is flowing after the fish come or something. Leap year starting on sunday. June 6 - The second and last solar transit of Venus of the century. Lots of Presidential elections. Close asteroid pass # December 21 - The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, notably used by the Maya civilization among others of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, completes its thirteenth b'ak'tun cycle since the calendar's mythical starting point (equivalent to August 11, 3114 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendar, according to the "GMT-correlation" JDN= 584283).[4] The Long Count b'ak'tun date of this starting point (13.0.0.0.0) is repeated, for the first time in a span of approximately 5,125 solar years. The significance of this period-ending to the pre-Columbian Maya themselves is unclear, and there is an incomplete inscription (Tortuguero Monument 6) that records this date. It is also to be found carved on the walls of the Temple of Inscriptions in Palenque, where it functions as a base date from which other dates are computed.[5] This date figures prominently in the religious syncretism of New Age Mayanism. # December 23 - The alternative date for the completion of the thirteenth b'ak'tun cycle in the Maya calendar, using a version of the GMT-correlation based on a JDN of 584285 (a.k.a. the "astronomical" or "Lounsbury correlation"), which is supported by a smaller number of Mayanist researchers.[6] The sun will reverse its own magnetic poles as a result of reaching the end of the current 11-year sunspot cycle etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Doomsday_Prediction

I had never heard of this before so i googled it, found their norwegian source and had a hard time trying to keep on reading as the information he gave was so fucking ridiculous. Not only is our elections apparently rigged, but the politicians appear to be controlled by aliens and we have underground bases everywhere. The town which have the underground base the source is going to go to is like right next to me, and I can guarantee you on your and my life there are no underground bases there. Add to this the fact that everything gets leaked to the press here, (Yeah I know they are in on it too etc) and the fact that the only real bunker they can show is on Svalbard, which isn't exactly optimally placed if you intend to use it for sheltering civilians. I mean, for convenience sake we might as well have built that bunker in Italy cause its about as far away for most of the population, with way better lines of transportation.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1132130/ CRAPPY MOVIE SPOILER BELOW! It is ok, we can stop it if we can convince some random Mexican lady that is 9 months pregnant to leave her town to follow 2 complete strangers from America (Going alone, not bringing her boyfriend or anybody from her family/town) to a temple in the middle of fucking nowhere to give birth to her baby on a dirty rock in the temple. Because otherwise god will kill us all by stopping the world from spinning, which, as every schoolchild knows, will cause a giant hurricane with wind speeds of approximately 38 Kagillion miles an hour. God that movie sucked. CRAPPY MOVIE SPOILER COMPLETED!

"If we are going to die in 2012 we may as well make a movie about it =D" If it's given to good writers, you absolutely could make a good movie of it. Like Children of Men, if you know impending doomsday is coming, society totally collapses and stuff, blah blah blah. Basically, not any of the horseshit mentioned below with the baby and temple lol
