f = x1x3' + x1x2 + x1'x2' + x3'x3 i was wondering how i would start this? im familiar with using x1x2x3 as a variable but this one would give x1x3' for example, what happen to the x2? can someone start me up with that? the whole question asked: + Show Spoiler + use algebraic manipulation to derive the minimum sum-of-products expression for the function f = x1x3' + x1x2 + x1'x2' + x3'x3 thanks.   | ||

X3 0 1 X1/X2 00 01 11 1 10 1 edit: oh crap, it doesn't come out right, quote me for the k-map to look right oh and to make a minimized SOP, you just combine terms after you finish the kmap and make a new function. | ||

i was taught using this kind of kmap, essentially the same thing, though. ![[image loading]](http://www.tinypic.ca/images/7psjvp79t44381dnqlr.jpg) possible if you draw it on paint? how would the truth table look like though, its weird as hell. x1x3' would be a box based on those crossed each other to become a 0 or a 1? | ||
