Interesting facts I find out when searching on TLPD:
1. Bisu never played against July in any MSL related game or PL. All 5 games between the two were OSL games, only 5! 2. Bisu and July have been in a same group of OSL for 3 times. 3. Bisu lost to July in the first group game and won the tiebreaker against July. Bisu made Ro8 and July dropped out, twice. [edit: Just recalled the Bacchus OSL group match, Bisu suddenly disconnected when he's almost losing the game. Then the umpire ruled his out after checking the replay that his DT wasn't out yet. Few days later, he beat July in the tiebreaker with sexy DTs and storms.]
4. Bisu vs July on Python (2007 ODL S2 Group D), their first game, was also the first live game I watched after I had quit the progaming scene since 2005.
Hmmm...still worried about his game versus July tomorrow because Bisu was 5-5 in his last 10 PvZ. This might be the worst period of time of his PvZ, which he used to be known for. Almost kicked out of OSL with 2 straight losses by Hero and kicked out of MSL by Savior and Zero (I can't even tell who is Hero and who is Zero, wtf?), Bisu needs to prove his PvZ immediately. It's good the game won't be on Tears of the Moon (actually Kal_vs_Jaedong was the only PvZ on that map in the group stage).
Batoo OSL Group A Standings: Bisu 1-0 Stork 1-1 Yellow 1-1 July 0-1
My prediction: Bisu > July July > Stork Bisu > Yellow -------> Bisu 3:0, July/Yellow/Stork tiebreaker
Also possible: July > Bisu July > Stork Bisu > Yellow -------> July/Bisu 2:1, Yellow/Stork 1:2 out
The worst scenario: July > Bisu July > Stork Yellow > Bisu -------> July/Yellow 2:1, Bisu/Stork 1:2 out
I'd love to see both No.1 and No.2 Protoss make this group but dear Dinotoss looks really like cursed recently.
Bisu's PvZ is a big wtf for me too. Do players really lose that much form when they pursue improvement in a different MU, or is his style so studied that most Zergs know what to do now?
dont get me wrong Emlary, but I think the upcoming game wont be smth to remember, July will try some low econ strat like the last game on medusa. Maybe he will pull it off, or maybe not, but either way it should be very short game. But thats just what I think about it ofc Anyway KTY fighting !

GO BISU!~
bisu's last 3 PvZ are wins, especially the Bisu vs Great on Tau Cross game, he certainly didn't look out of form

Then do you think the latter is the reason for his recent decline in PvZ?
My two favourite players fighting always breaks my heart in some way. I almost always find myself cheering for July though. Don't think I've ever cheered more for a player generally.. maybe with the exception of rA (looks around for the divine smite that is DJEtter's fist)

Someone needs to explain to me why DJEtters says such bold things as "Nal_rA gives Protoss players a bad name."
In my mind, hating Nal_rA is like hating BoxeR or JulyZerg, although I suppose there are people who do.

wtf does julyzerg do among Ra and Boxer? if you wanted a zerg in there too then Yellow would fit, definately not July
Bisu vs. July were always intense matches, no matter which I watched. I particularily remember two games: That tiebreaker game on Blue Storm, when Bisu played ultra-safe, as if he was saying "if he cannot all-in me, I will kill him" and the game on Chupung-Ryeong, when July won almost purely through hydra micro, and there was constant fighting in the middle of the map.

since october 2008, he's 17-7 PvZ.
Seven losses to: - Calm (Bisu won the series in GOM, 2-1) - Ace match to Jaedong (his only loss in proleague that season, he was 10-1) - Lost Saga group where he was eliminated, losing to Savior and Zero (beating magma) - 0-2 to by.hero in OSL - Luxury in Proleague
this guy had to practice PvP and PvT (he's like 30-3 or something in those) over the last few months, and his PvZ "slumped" to 17-7. sure it might be a little worse, but its nothing like a "wtf" or "lose that much form". its the standard overreaction from fans that don't understand that simply having an off day or being slightly rusty doesn't mean slump. just like the Jaedong fans that freaked out with the sky-is-falling when he lost a bunker rush to FBH and Canata's mech.
Bisu's "decline" in PvZ is one MSL group and an 0-2 to by.hero, a stretch of a few days where he went 1-4. He had a bad five games over what, a week? Sure it's unlucky that his bad stretch happened during a critical point of his individual league season, but if you watch his play in the other MU it looks really flukey that he lost. Just a bad day. Bisu's PvZ, when he spends several days on it for the OSL against July or the GOM Bo5 with Jaedong, will be top form, don't worry.

July brought forth a great game play that revolutionized the way zerg played until Saviors era

I can't swear on the reasons for why DJ Etter hates rA, but if I understood him correctly over the years, it was because the tactics he used, which was perceived as cowardly and annoying to play against. Always resorting to abusing some unit, some part of the map etc etc. Thus the statement "gives protss players a bad name everywhere"
Personally I always thought of the same cheesyness as glimmering acts of a genius.

July definitely brought a lot of rape. I was going to say YellOw but I didn't want people criticizing that choice and say "but BoxeR rapes YellOw LOL!"
July's muta micro is brutally sexy, and he, YellOw, and Savior are definitely the contenderrs for all time best Zergs.
Hopefully YellOw makes a Reach-esque appearance onto the teamleagues soon, Reach's performance is so heartening for me T-T
I do hope Bisu makes it through, I think July needs to prove himself more in the individual leagues.

July was insane... if Yellow showed that it actually was possible for zerg to win at all versus terran, July showed that it was possible to dominate. I remember an interview with boxer back when he was still one of the very best tvzers around and he was asked to comment on july. He was like "...You know exactly what is coming but you just can't stop it."
I think the game versus bisu will be great, I don't think july will rush however. It will be either some sort of midgame timing attack or a massive macro war, knowing july probably some sort of combination, midgame aggression transitioning into all out macro. In terms of who is most likely to win I'd probably say bisu, he's on fire right now and in the past he hasn't shown any signs at all of beeing intimidated by the fact that july probably has been some sort of teacher to him. I'll be cheering for July though, and I won't be too surprised if he wins Tushin fighting!

Yellow was a great player and a great character but July did way more for the Zerg race than he did.
I don't want to downplay Yellow's accomplishments cause I do like the guy but simple fact is that July revolutionized what was a failing race, became the first Zerg OSL winner, and went on to become one of only 2 players in the world to win the golden mouse.
I'd rank him above Yellow in terms of achieving things for his respective race, but that's just me.

no Jaedong?
I guess I should have said "greatest." Jaedong is definitely the "best" Zerg of all time if you just talk about technical skill.
Bisu is 2-3 versus July, so it will be interesting to see which way the scale tips. Although I do want to see an epic game like game 3 of July vs Best OSL finals, but if July can get away with something aggressive and rape Bisu, it would hopefully keep Bisu on his toes. I think one things that keeps awesome players awesome is being beaten shamefully so they have an incentive to keep improving.
that is one of my favorite games from 2008, hopefully we will get something similar and not like their game on medusa where july goes for a hydra break and fails.

In terms of career accomplishments, Julyzerg is definitely far ahead of YellOw.
In terms of service to the swarm, so to speak, arguments can be made for both sides.
In terms of advancing the progaming industry, YellOw has done far more than any other Zerg - and indeed more than any player save BoxeR himself.

Very true, he didn't even give Great a chance in that game. He won in the typical Bisu style, harass ---> roll. Definitely wasn't looking out of shape.
I for one am hoping for an epic game between these two titans.
Im super hyped for this game, because theres no way to predict what July will do, in fact he hasnt shown on proleague making his gameplan more of a mystery. On the other side Bison will come up armed and prepared as well, knowing that july is superaggresive he wont do his cocky "im so good" moves that normally end up against him. I expect a really good game here.
