So after realizing how much time I waste every game waiting for my units to do what I've told them to because of the hideousness that is WC3BNET latency, I've decided to try to play almost exclusively on GArena at least until the WC3 ladder is reset..
Everything is going wonderful except for one thing....
Everyone on GArena is te-te-terrribaddddd.
Iccup too, it's probably even worse, I played a guy with 15 apm today and played like 10 games today where I didn't lose a single unit.
But holy god is it fun playing with lan latency.. it's almost worth it to play these awful players.. in fact it may be.
But I'm greedy so I'm posting here to try to find some good opponents that can stomp all over my soul.

if you can get to atleast c- rank on icc you can play ToD. Im sure he isnt as bad as most of the players

i used to play wc3 a lot like 6-7 years ago, mostly 1v1. im interested in getting back into it.. hopefully my ability hasnt rusted too much, i'll msn you

My advice is to try find someone to mass game with on garena if you haven't already searched for one, sure is better than bnet latency anyway~

How does hardcore WC3 compare to hardcore SC?
All I know how to do in WC3 is macro up units (lol macro) like in SC and try to overrun the newby comp :/

the comps are actually quite challenging on the highe rlevels. mostly because they do use similar unit composition and they are insanely fast with heroes
wc3 is like..hit the button to recruit, 30 seconds later you have enough gold/wood to make another unit

The average building times aren't that far from each other at all..
I can use my cats paws on the keyboard and still beat insane comps without losing a unit.

I mean, you said you were ranked pretty highly in the ladder last season, and while I understand that the ladder isn't what it once used to be, I wonder how many serious [wc3] players you'll really find here..
EDIT: @Above post, while WC3 obviously isn't retarded, I don't think his point was buildtimes, rather that in SC you build - let's say - 4 units at once every X seconds, while in WC3 you build 1 or 2 units.
Not that that makes it [wc3] retarded, just different ;o

I tried to get into WC3 melee for a while...but I didn't understand it...
I couldn't figure out what all the different units did, and what they were more or less effective against. I also fell asleep when I tried to watch pro games.

About his post... I think you're mistaken as he specified his impression of the build times specifically.

Yeah I get a very inconsistant connection to people.. sometimes it's about as good as lan lat and once there was 6 second delay for me..
