omfg, just saw this video
http://www.gomtv.net/videos/542
The end of the interview makes bisu look like a retarded kid that managed to eat his soup all by himself for the first time. BTW my littlest brother has down syndrome so I don't mean it in a mean way.
It's just that these kids (as well as bisu here) can make you feel sorry for them and love them at the same time.
Feeling this way about a progamer seriously cracked me up.
Retard Toss ftw!

They do a little thing that means so much to them and they're so happy, but somehow, besides feeling happy with them, it makes me kind of 'sad' in the background.

I watched that whole interview, waiting for the english sentence, then at the end, I was like.. "wtf did he just say?" then Susie said Happy New Year and i was like.. that was happy new year? lol funny nonetheless.

possibly the worst post of the year so far.
|
How was that in anyway bad? For those who couldn't understand him, are you kidding me? That was really good for the average Korean.
That wasn't retarded at all, I was expecting wayyy worse English.
Didn't see the interview though, so nice find. Bisu is going to destroy SkyHigh.
|
if it was worse than what he did, it wouldn't be english.
|
OP is just terrible, Bisu saying happy new year in english, or at least trying to, you making some connection to your little brother who has down syndrome... seriously wtf.
possibly the worst post of the year so far. qft
|
I could actually understand that pretty easily...
|
hahah yeah lol totally haha xD

|
I thought it was hilarious as well, it did sound really retarded but oh well who cares.
|
Almost all Koreans sound like this when they speak English. I fail to see what's so funny about it. I think it shows how much he cares about showing his appreciation for the foreign scene.

I'd like to see you get video interviewed and be prompted to speak a line of Korean at the end - it's not so easy to speak a foreign language you've no training in, especially when the pressure is on.
I love to see the Korean players trying out their English, no matter how poor (and, as every other poster here has said, Bisu's wasn't even that bad). It's a nice gesture for the foreign fans.
So yeah, this blog is really fucking dumb. Next time, just stop the video before it reaches the last 30 seconds and then we won't have to hear you complaining about how Bisu doesn't speak English well enough for you.

I sounded like that at one point so I'm not judging anything.
Pretty cool pros are starting to speak English though hah
|
I obviously didn't manage to transfer the right 'vibration' of the whole thing right, too bad some of you have bad reactions.
|
I didn't think it was all that bad, but truthfully, the first time around, I thought he was still speaking korean at first.

He isn't making a connection he only mentioned his little brother to put things into perspective, which you somehow still managed to misinterpret, learn to read.
Why are you guys being so uptight about this.

Are you messing with me or something????
It's right there.
so I don't mean it in a mean way.
|
Alright, I just dont get OP's way of thinking/comparing/making perspectives. Nvm.
|
I know he said he doesn't mean it in a mean way, but it still kinda came out as sounding rather offensive. Personally, I'm not offended, I have no reason to be, but I can definitely still see why someone would be rather bothered by the post. To me, it looked like he was more embarrassed than proud.

OP's not so bad.
thread is retarded though.
all y'all's horses are too high. jump off please

Since when does having a handicapped family member make it okay to make comments about other people acting handicapped... Not that I don't do this, but I don't see how that is a relevant justification.
Otherwise, yea, I understood it pretty well and he tried so who gives a fuck? Try saying something in a foreign language in an interview which you know will be seen by many people and making it sound perfect.

/agree it's definitely one of them.

that last comment wasn't atrocious... it was typical korean english.

The reason I mentioned my brother was exactly this, I hoped it would explain my perspective a bit.
I'm not great at putting my thoughts well in english, so my OP idea might have come off somewhat distorted when compared to the original idea in my brain in my native language.
BTW. about the smiley face, I get what you mean. This is in fact the first time I've ever used it i think, in my history of internet communication.
But there's something about this smiley that's goofy, shallow and everything else that made me use it in this thread. don't take this so seriously everyone

I didnt hear anything wrong with what he said but maybe thats because I'm korean and I hear accents all the time.

yes the last sentence "retard toss ftw!" was really retarded
|
The only thing I got out of this blog is that if your brother is mentally retarded than all the "retard" jokes aren't mean anymore...
