So my martial arts black belt test is supposed to be this Friday the 28th of November. I went to class today and we had regular training and practice preparing for the exam. At the end of the class, I saw the Master Kang kyo Sig talking with my instructor about something so I was wondering what are they talking about. Then my instructor comes to me and he says " I have 2 Good news, one good however the other is good too but very stressful". I was like what is it? So he was like" Your test is delayed till sometime in December!" I was like YES, I can practice more. Then.. The other part came, " One of the Main Korean Channels(I dunno which one) is going to come and take a live shoot of the whole test!".... I was like... WTF! THIS IS WHAThbdjsadhnsakldsa you know what I mean? I am extremely excited.. However on the other hand the stress I had concerning the test increased tenfold!! I hope for the best guys and wish me luck!!

P.S. My martial art is called Hoi Jeon Moo Sool, its not popular globally but its a style of Hapkido created by the twin brother of Hapkido's Mung Jae Nem.

Wow man I used to do martial arts as well. I only made it to green-blue belt so I can say that getting all the way to black belt is quite an accomplishment. I was really nervous at my first tournament with only my mom there to watch me I cant imagine how nervous you are with Korean television there! Good luck man, let us know how it goes!

P.S. - Can we watch it on Korean TV somehow?

What do you do at a test exactly? Is it like a tournament? Do you have to perform all the moves correctly?

I have no idea about you guys watching, but if I get any info ill tell you guyz. As for Salv, no its basically my test which consists of 10 categories including self defence, kicking, jumping, freestyle, combed techniques and couple of others. I dont have to do all 100% correct, but rather mostly very close to the form they r supposed to be done in. The one I have problems with is jumping since I have to jump over a person my height facing me (170cm).

I used to do hapkido... I have redblack belt:p never wanted to do my final exam

What, so if you're 2m tall you have to jump 2m?? That sounds impossibly hard :< Good luck either way

I use to do martial arts. I was about 1.5 years away from my blak belt when I dropped out do to a busy life. Ever since I have wanted to start back up, but I am away at college so I cant attend the same MA school that I did before. I think after I finish my degree in the spring I am going to look to get back into it either at the same place or a new place depending on where I end up living.

Fuck! This is great for you you know. At real test of physical and mental strength. You can be sure that you have earned your belt! Martial arts is never about achieving belts, it's all about bettering yourself. So good luck to you man!
