Hi again guys. I opened my refrigerator today and I was like hmm.. what shall I eat. There wasn't much food so I just scrambled around the kitchen to look for something. Something really simple came to my mind.
I took less than 40 minutes to prepare and cook everything.
Things You Need(for 1 person) - Olive Oil - A sausage - Fresh Garlic - Spaghetti - Bolognese and Oregano(grounded) spice - 1/4 cup of white wine
Here's a picture of what I started off with.
1. Bring a pot of water to boil and add in the spaghetti.
2. Dice up your garlic and sausages while the spaghetti is cooking. I sliced mine into round thingies because I like cutting stuff while I cook with the spatula. Haha.
3. Cook the sausages until they appear crispy and then add in the garlic.
4. Fry until golden. Turn off fire until your spaghetti is cooked.
5. Once spaghetti is cooked, drain off the water and add it into the saucepan.
6. Stir for a little while and add in the white wine with the spices. Stir for a little longer and add in a pinch of salt if you like.
7. Serve on a plate immediately after all the wine has evaporated. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and parsely if you have some.
There you have it. As I said before, this is really simple and I had a lack of ingredients. I'm working on an omelette recipe next so just keep cooking!

Oh! As a personal preference, I don't really like the taste of pepper so salt is kinda my best friend lol. Black pepper steak is nice though lol.

Any idea on the nutritional value and calories of the plate you made?

If this is a problem and you really need wine [ not this dish for example, but maybe french onion soup or something ] you can buy cooking wine which is a much lower percent but legal for you to buy. Usually next to the dressings and such in groceries.

JMave do you cook for fun? Would you say it's hard to cook. How long have you been cooking?
And yes, I want to eat what you made
When you're really really hungry, you can eat like anything. Haha.

Well, I would say that it was a hobby but I'm really getting into it. I'm making my own lunch everyday now.
Cooking could be a little hard when you start off as you will have hardly any idea what kinds of food goes with what. Like how you can't add ginger and garlic in the same dish(super pungent.. unless if you've got the taste for it). But once you get the hang of it you'll start to make food for efficiently. I used to take an hour for preparation and about 15 minutes for cooking but now it just goes under 40 minutes for everything.
I've been cooking for around 2 years now.

Get your knife skills more up to pace man and you will fly through prep work. In general the meal you just did here should take like 15 mins start to finish from prep to cooking provided you have water boiling/simmering.
Glad to see there are more people into cooking

I had to wait for the water to boil lol.
And yeah its awesome to cook.

prob gonna sound like an ass saying it, but when you want to boil water, a) smallest pot and b) always cover it to have it boil faster, or if your in a rush for time, just grab a pan if you have one thats deep enough for the pasta(shouldn't be a problem for 1 portion) and boil water in it.
I use the pan idea often when making eggs benedict if my pot isn't boiling yet at work

Only got a pan in the house x(
