i am about to create an account on liquidpoker and ask the guy if he was andrewsidekick on US east. Noone else named Andrew would even be able/want to play at B+ A iccup at the moment haha

I wonder why- It doesn't take winning "that" many games to get to a highish level on iccup. One would assume that if he's really high level, he would have friends that are super high level as well.

It's totally reasonable if you have the money. I've basically stopped bw, but every now and then I want to play some quality games, but only like 2 or 3. However, I don't want it that much, so I can't be bothered to get those ~40 games to get me to C+/B- which where I'd enjoy playing

well turned out i was right.. he is andrewsidekick afterall. I believe he was practice partner on same team with boxer in 2003 then moved to US.. there even was video of boxer interview where they walked around the training house or w/e and this guy was sitting there practicing..

someone made a good point, why grind through 40 games to get to b+ when he can pay $200 or whatever and make that much money in a couple hours of playing poker?

Well, paying 200$ to play game for a couple of months is too much for the majority of people =P. Even if you make it back and more in poker, using the money so freely is not good o.O.

It's like saying why not pay $500 for a grape when you really want a grape and you can make $500 in 1/2 an hour on poker. Why not buy a pretty leaf too for $500.

Nevake and noobswrath...

If you have limited amount of time you can spend on both poker and starcraft, than playing worthless games equals losing money, as you could have been playing poker instead.
Its basic economics really, for the Guy that is buying the account, the opportunity cost of playing useless games is higher than paying for the account.

Its maybe true that he could have bought a better account for his money, but again he would have to invest time into research, contacting people etc, and the same principle applies.
