hi guys. as you may know, i got a new electric guitar for my birthday and i'm very pleased with it. it's a very nice look and it's in pristine condition and i love it and i'm gonna squeeze it and love it and huggie wuggie pupupupuwuwuwu til the day i die.
but then... what happens to my old one? the old esp ltd?
that's what it looks like, except it's got more scratches, more grime, more dust, and a broken input jack. since at any time i may need an extra electric guitar, plus i love my guitars like no other, i'm not going to sell it or throw it away or anything like that. but it's true that it could use a repair. done, it deserves one, it was the first guitar i ever played!
however! i got my new guitar because i felt like my first one never really suited me, especially the look of it. it has that spikey looking neck that could be used to kill a man and a solid black paintjob that expresses the deep horrible blackness in a metal guitarist's soul. and look at me! i smile like this =] POINT IN CASE it doesn't really suit me because i smile like that.
so i've decided to customize it. i'm gonna repair it, repaint it, and rePWN it!! maybe put some new pickups on, i dunno the possibilities are endless! but i need some ideas on what to do with it! and if anyone knows a lot about guitars they could also give me some tips on working on a guitar!
god i want to paint it to look like this so bad

My guitar is much manlier.
I possess one X-TREME hello kitty strat.

|

I tested exactly this guitar when I bought a new one some month ago... I liked it alot but deceided to buy a jackson because the esp has a painted neck which I dont like.
@Topic:
I was in a similar situation when I bought my new guitar. I really liked the old one and I will never sell it but when I got the new one I didnt play the old for a long long time. It needed some repairs , too
Now I use my old guitar for a side-project where we play a different tuning and since both my guitars have a floyd rose system I cant change the tune so easily...
Now I use both guitars and no matter which one I play I am happy with it
(maybe I will add pics of my babies later )

I'd recommend ripping all the electronics out of there and going with new pickups, pots, caps/wiring/jack. Makes far more difference in tone than anything else you could do to that guitar. A basic paintjob is doable too, although removing a thick poly finish can be alot of work.

Name your guitar George. No homo.
yubee just take white out and draw a =] on it, problem solved. Repair/repaint/pickup change sounds like a pretty good alternative, though.

i thought the tuners faced upward if it was right handed?

sorry to hijack this blog but would anyone here know of a good place to get classical guitars?
i feel like its time to +1 or +2 my yamaha c60 as im merging into the D+ area and im getting sick of this guitar
|
gasp! yamaha c60 is a great guitar. where abouts in australia are you? some of the spanish-crafted classical guitars are really good, ill see if i can find any more info
oh wait, im thinking of the c40
try this site: http://www.shiremusic.com.au/site/index.cfm ive bought guitars there, they have nice guitars and nice service
well, they dont have that many nylon strings, they have alot of steel string guitars by cole clark, maton etc. best bet from the shop is the admira, the 500dollar one ive fiddled with a bit at the shop at it is INSANELY LIGHT...i almost forgot i was holding it when i was talking to the dude. it plays pretty well too

ok i added a new design to the op. i think people will either find it cool or extremely gay... .. . . . what do you think
