preparing for disapointment

So with college applications just around the corner, I've begun to prepare myself with dissapoinment. I go to an extremely rigorous top 50 in CA school with a 70% asian student body. I have a weighted GPA of 3.88 and SAT scores of 2110, 740, 750. I've will have taken 23 semesters of AP/honor level courses. Some of you might say, hey overachieving asian, stop complaining. But the truth of the matter is, I'm probably going to UC Irvine with my stats. I really wanted to go to UCLA or UCSD but given my stats and everything, this just isn't possible anymore. I don't know anyone with lower stats than me so i guess it's just time for me to prepare emotionally for rejection at UCLA and UCSD. On top of that, everything is working against me. I'm not low income. I don't go to a crap school in the hood. I'm Asian. I'm not the first in my family to go to college. I'm applying for a competitive major.

i'm pretty sure you'll get into SD lol . . .

the avg GPA going into SD is like 4.06. And starting this year, all bio related majors are going to be impacted (you have to apply as that major, can't transfer from another) and are going to be capped at 700 students each. So yeah...sucks.

You'll be fine. Your grades are really good, and the classes you've taken means you're not a slacker. Plus you live in California, a bonus when applying to the UCs. Don't worry too much, just have confidence in yourself!

man, I try to inspire myself but the stats just weigh me down.

I have like 200 hrs of volunteering, 4 hrs of band, Eagle Scout, (SC fanatic)?...I'm hoping those can help me

What major are you trying out for? You might consider trying UC Davis or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, if your interested in engineering or science, both have a good price and a decent price.
