SG 워너비 is my favorite korean group. SG Wannabe debuted in 2004 with their song "Timeless" which topped the charts, despite the fact that the group did not appear in their own music videos or on music shows. Although they did not show their faces, they won several awards for their music. They purposely did not get any surgery at all and gained success through their talent instead. The SG stands for Simon and Garfunkel.
Members: Kim Yong Jun (Whyme) Born on September 12, 1984, Whyme is the new leader of the group
Kim Jin Ho Born on May 21, 1986, Jin Ho is the main vocal and my favorite singer. hes usually on the right side
Lee Seok Hun Born on February 21, 1984, he is the new vocal and joined the group for their 5th album, which came out in April of this year.
Chae Dong Ha Born on June 23, 1981, Chae Dong Ha is the former leader of the group. However, he left to pursue a solo career.
Timeless:
The music video was produced by two famous music producers in Korea and featured many top actors, such as Seol Kyung goo, Kim Nam jin, Kim Yoon jin, Kang Hye jeong and Seo Sungmin. It cost 2 billion won, about 1 million dollars, to produce.
On March 29, 2005, SG Wannabe released their 2nd album, "살다가" "While You Live". It had 2 number one hits (죄와벌 Sin and Punishment, 살다가 While You Live) and was the only album to sell over 400,000 copies. The music video comes in two parts.
죄와벌 Crime and Punishment:
Saldaga:
SG Wannabe also released a 2.5 remake album called "The Classic Odyssey" on September 14, 2005 which was sold 147,047 copies for 12th place.
SG Wannabe's third (and best in my opinion) album came out on April 11, 2006. It was called "The 3rd Masterpiece" and it seemed to be aptly named. Their music video for this album was also in two parts which was like a short movie. This album also hit number one on several charts. The music video featured Kim Dong Wan from Shinhwa.
내 사람 Partner in Life:
느림보 Slowpoke/Slowcoach
On November 18, 2006, SG Wannabe released a Greatest Hits compilation and added 3 new songs: Saranga (사랑가), Even If I Could See You (그저 바라볼 수만 있어도) and Ordinary People. Despite great sales and reaching the top of the charts again, they lost out on the DaeSang to Dong Bang Shin Ki.
The Sentimental Chord, SG Wannabe's 4th album arrived nearly a year after their 3rd album, on April 6, 2007. It was successful again and they released two special albums: SG WannaBe+ and Story in New York which were decent as well.
Arirang Part 1:
Part 2:
Part 3:
Stay:
However, Chae Dong Ha, the leader, left the group to focus on a solo career and started his acting career in Kim Jong Wook's music video "Only You". It's a shame because I don't think the new guy is talented enough to be in SG Wannabe, but Jin Ho's voice is still the main one and will continue to carry the group.
SG Wannabe came out with their 5th album, "My Friend", on April 23, 2008 which showcased the talents of the new vocal, Lee Suk Hoon. This album is pretty good too.
Lalala:
Lalala Version 2:
Along with their albums and special releases, they have participated in collaborations with other artists such as Brown Eyed Girls and Kim Jong Kook.
other music videos: 죽을만큼사랑했어 I Loved You To Death (from 1st album)
광 Gwang (yahoo says this means storehouse but im not sure) (from 2nd album)
바람만바람만 Only Wind Only Wind (single with Kim Jong Kook)

They are great singers, but yeah they're not that good looking.
Another group that sounds like SG Wannabe is: MtoM I think they're good too. =]

They care about music, not looks, which is really the most important. Looks are secondary.
Look at most other korean artists out there.
I got a tangential question... I heard from a few Koreans that ~60% of Korean women between 20-25 have some sort of plastic surgery. What's the rate for men?
And I just noticed Sun from Lost is the main girl in the Timeless video.. Awesome, didn't realise she was so big

Not sure but yeah I did notice some girls during my stay in Korea that got plastic surgery - for example, the lady that cut my hair that I frequently went to lol she was really pretty though but I knew something was weird
dammit why cant korean music videos have a happy ending T_T
just watched Timeless and gg.... then there's that song where the photographer gets to know this girl then she goes blind and he gives his eyes to her T_T
are all the music videos like that or are some happy ending? i get really emotional with this stuff
