last summer we put a pond in the back yard. its got a stream, you know, that whole thing.

earlier this summer we started hearing a frog around the pond. never did find the little bastard, cuz there's a lot of plant life around the pond.

today i took my dog outside so he could shit on my lawn (jerk) and i was wandering around the yard looking at stuff and bam

i looked in the pond and there's like TWENTY FUCKING TADPOLES IN THE POND

the pond is only like six feet across, and this summer i was wondering why we weren't having a problem with mosquitos (mosquitos lay eggs in still bodies of water, so like water pooling in a wheelbarrow or in a storm gutter that doesnt drain is mosquito breeding grounds). i guess that explains that.

there was two frogs for a while and they made a shitload of noise. i sorta saw this coming because if they arent fucking why would they make so much noise?

ah the beauty. solve your mosquito problem with frogs, not chemicals that you have to pay for and destroy the environment. if we could have efficiency driven methods instead of profit driven methods...

There were actually tadpoles in our old sandbox with water (though no sand) in it a few years ago. They were toads though, this area is rather dry. We actually added dechlorinated water to it because it would have evaporated, and that would have been messy. It was neat when 100 tiny toads started jumping out everywhere. GLHF

I mean it really was neat, I've never seen 100 small toads (or frogs) emerge and jump off into the world (most of them to die probably )

Unless you meant to quote tec27 O_O

Alright, I have to admit that it would be pretty badass to have a bunch of eagles flying around your yard at all times. You win.

I love frogs too. Especially Bull Frogs, for a very good reason.
