I really love cats but, oh, god, I want to smack my cat in the face when she brings a bird or a mouse. Cause most cats kill just for fun, not cause they are hungry. Really nice you buried it though. p.s. if you let the cat eat stuff, be sure she is using her pills like Drontal or w/e it is you use in the US.

Killing the adult rabbit would've ended up starving an entire family. Why would you ever feel the need to bury a dead animal that you've had no emotion connection to? They don't get buried when they die in the wilderness, they decompose normally and sustain the ecosystem. You shouldn't need to impose human rites on an dead animal when the most beneficial thing would be to just leave it.

The best thing you do with a dying animal is leave it alone if you care about what people think of you... not that everyone will love you, but if you kill it to put it out of its misery you are an uncaring monster according to too many people.
