Whenever you save, make a save state as well; I also save state before every battle because my computer randomly freezes when I'm torrenting; it wipes the save game but the save states still work.

I hope you mean Larvitar, because starting the game with a level 30 Pupitar would be a bit unfair.

You can start with a level 5 Pupitar, though I'm not sure why you'd want to start with that piece of shit anyways.

heh, I don't think you can edit the starters, although I know there's a Gameshark code to change the next wild Pokemon you see into a Larvitar; I had to use it because I don't think Larvitar is in the game, its Area was unknown in my Pokedex

I started playing this on monday and had a level 40 Blastoise and a level 42 Gardevoir and some level 30 pikachu that i evolved from a pichu and it sucked so much. It had such low HP that it wasn't even funny like anything can kill it. Where do you get a thunderstone in emerald. Anyways doesn't really matter now cause I have to start over now.

I think I'll stick with the Squirtle and get a ralts again. I was thinking of getting an abra but its hp sucks and the fact it can't learn anything till it evolves at level 16th and it has pretty low defense and i think ralts is better cause when it reaches gardevoir it has a pretty high special attack.

Now, I have to download it all again -_-

Well Yaqoob, Pikachu/Raichu's strength lies in special attack and speed (like almost all electric pokemon). Alakazam is extremely fast (For a psychic pokemon), and from what I have played, Ralts is slow.

Not to mention the infamous surfing Raichu.

There's a generator quest in Mauville later in the game, I think there are Thunderstones in there.

Just so you know, Gardevoir has a higher defense than Alakazam; Alakazam's special attack, on the other hand, is fucking nuts.

Gardevoir is hot though, so that falls in her favor.
