I would just like to say that Staples is probably not the best place to get a good deal on one (don't know a better place though....possibly ebay?). Something else you can look at is dry-erase material that you can screw onto a wall kind of like wallpaper (but much thicker). I know at my school they have a few rooms that the actual wall material is made from that stuff, so it might be cheaper.

wtf i never knew those things are so damn expensive??/ seriousl 220 USD for a white board wtf -_-
|
yea they are really expensive, but I went the cheap route, if you have a home depot or lowes or some type of home improvement store, I got some white laminated sheet board for bathrooms i think and its dirt cheap and really big, ill try to find a link for it some time in the next day or so
sorry studying finals are Tuesday

i had a 1.5' by 3' in my dorm and i bought it for like 20 bucks at staples or Omax or some office supply store like that

My roommate and I had one, we used it for everything. They're great, so useful and clean.
But, they're called DRY erase for a reason. Never, EVER get them wet.
|
Yeah I could use one as well, but I don't seem to have room anywhere. I'd probably use it to remind myself of things coming up, like a huge ass calendar, or something.
|
i have one lying around too but its old and dirty, im entertaining the idea of just buying a sheet of plexiglass. it's a bit cheaper for smaller sizes like 2x3 and probably a lot cheaper for bigger ones.

i dont know anything about prices, but for my maths my board is great, i study the double in the half of the time without wasting paper.

Okay Office Depot charges a 25 dollar fee for large/heavy items, so my total will be $140.87. I'm probably going to go with that unless someone finds something better or convinces me to get an alternative item.

My school has one for a calendar. It's really useful since it's for a specific class so we can scribble notes for each other on it. The teachers don't read it so you can basically write whatever as long as you write it so you can't see it from a mile away.

I seem to remember some website where you could buy Dry Erase board without a frame cut to specification and was really cheap, like 2 bucks per square foot. Read some blog where the guy buys a shit ton of this and basically covers all the walls in his home-office with it, looked really cool.
Sorry I can't really figure out where I saw it though, but just letting you know it is out there.
Edit: I need to learn to read, I think JingXD is talking about the same thing I am.

Ah interesting, information on using shower board... I'm considering doing this. If you stain a 12 dollar piece, it's not that big of a deal haha. Then again, I might just get the retail one for the glamor.

If I was at my res I'd show you a pic of what I have. It's about the size of a floor tile, and sticks onto my fridge/wall/etc.
