So exactly how do you get a Korean hairstyle, like those progamers?

I've tried growing it out and putting some gel into it, but I get this round shape on top of my head and no space at the top- it just falls flat.

I'm looking for an elongated face with some space there at the top- like say, Bisu's hair.

Help please, suggest techniques, products, places to go, whatever.

Just a little warning, don't go for the "Asian" haircut unless you're actually Asian, it will just look corny as hell.
We make signature, then defense it.

Korean hairs are straighter... what's ur race anyways? If you have naturally very curly hair you can't pull it off unless you straighten it.

If you're asian you don't have to do anything to get that hair style. Look at last_romantic's picture, his hair just go like that.

The haircut is most important; if you don't get a good cut it wont come out the way you want it. Next is hair products. Most people with "Asian" hairstyles use wax , clay , and hairspray. (straightening iron and blow dryer definitely recommended) A popular brand that a lot of people use is Gatsby. (You can Youtube Gatsby wax and they have demo's on how to use it.)

The thing what bugs me about all those progamers is that they all have no sideburns but way too long hair hanging there instead, it looks so girly.

Also hair that looks like someone spent about 1 hour on it and 10 different products isn't really my thing either. Just use some gel that's it but hey to each his own, doesn't really seem like it's worth it though.

just straighten ur hair ^^
and go to a place for a 15$ cut
you won't need gel or anything, maybe a little hairspray, hair will fall naturally :o

which pic of me Oo;

and yeah i am too lazy to use gel/wax usually -.-`` so I just blowdry it and it comes out ok.

haircut is most important part IMO; find someone who can do Japanese and/or Korean styles [i prefer kor styles; Japanese styles can be a bit too flamboyant for 'professional' world]

Dont grow out Bisu or any other korean hair style. Its Korean hair. Its in THEIR culture. It looks idiotic to the vast majority of us here, and you will be laughed at. A few pro gamers have western hair cuts [xellos in his picture, not sure what his is like now, for example], but don't copy anyone else.

Erhm...no it doesn't. You will naturally get the long sides, long back, shorter bang look, but you won't get the korean look. Where the ear has no or little hair cover it, but only a fake sideburn kind of look. That is actually cut that way. I know a lot of asian friend and they cut their like that too, its not just this natural thing thats happens lol.
Can you dig it?

Well I am Chinese, so I think the Korean hairstyle will work fine on me.

My hair's always too dry to look anything like that Korean hair, though I suppose good hair products will fix that... any suggestions?

I guess I should also look for an Asian salon of some type? I don't think the American ones are working out for me...

Are there any good pictures I can take with me when I go, to give them a model of some type?

First off, if you want to copy a hair style from a site make sure if fits your face/head. Some hair styles do not work with some head sizes like oval face, etc. Most hair styles have to be thinned out or layered. When I was growing out my hair I would wake up in the morning looking like Goku from DBZ. The hair style I was going for took a long time to grow out the sides so instead I just thin and layered my hair until my sides were long so I can style it. So if you're looking for a hair style make sure you ask the person first because they will tell you the process and how long it might take. Once you get the cut make sure you ask them how to style the hair correctly. Also eww gel just eww and for most Asian hair styles you have to use wax or clay, which can be purchased only in Asian super markets and of course online.

Luckily for me living in California there are a ton of Asian markets and hair salons. Korean hair styles tend to grow out their sides more, which is sometimes called side hair or side bangs whereas Japanese is kinda messy and wavy, but still looks awesome. Chinese hair styles are similar and somewhat in the middle. In general, all those hair styles are just called Asian hair instead of being too specific since all Asian race have similar styles anyways.

Does anyone know of good places around the Seattle area?

So if I go to an Asian hair salon, should I just let them go at it and expect good results? They'll probably have better ideas than I will. I have pretty long hair right now, so they should have enough to work with to get whatever they want.

It really helps if you can get your hair done in a korean salon or atleast someone who has good experience cutting korean style. I usually have gotten my haircuts by mexicans (because they basically dominate the area I live in) and to this day they still haven't cut hair as good as the ladies in that one salon up in LA.. even after I gave them detailed instructions on what to do -.-

They should have a stack of books for Asian hair styles for men and women. Ask for one and pick some that you like and ask them if it would fit your head size.

Yeah it does, but like I said a lot of Asian hair styles are similar so you don't really have to go to a specific salon for hair styles. My friend told me that he went to a Korean hair salon and they charged a lot because a lot of teenagers want that hair style while places run by a Vietnamese, Chinese, etc have experience in those type of hair styles. So it's better to ask round for hair salons instead of going to a really specific one.

Bisu's hair looks ridiculous.

How can he stand having that bit of hair just chillin' behind his ear? That would really bother me.
