It was three days ago that my first tub of BSN NO-Xplode™ arrived in the mail. My face instantly lit up as I had awaited its arrival in dire anticipation for many weeks and I had felt like a school girl as I giggled with glee. I knew that tomorrow could not come soon enough, but I hung in there and waited patiently for the time to pass. Would it work as well as I had hoped? Time would soon tell.
Fast forward...
I entered into the weight room with a reinvigorated sense of dedication. Today I would do the impossible, I would bench 225 lbs. For months I had trained rigorously to reach my goal, but always seem to be stopped by a plateau; some sort of divine barrier that would keep me from accomplishing my aspirations. Today was different, I had BSN No-Xplode™ on my side and today would be more than just another day at the gym, it would be the day I took my life back.
I casually walked up to the bench, I pressed my fingers against the cold steel, the bench was speaking to me..."I am yours" it told me. I picked up the plates and loaded them onto the bar. Something was eerie though, as the plates felt a tad heavier than usual. I suddenly began to second guess myself, what if the NO-Xplode™ would not be enough and today would just be another day of faded dreams and residual failure. My left eye began to twitch and I became overcome with nervousness. My mind had wandered off and flashed back to my final football game of my last season at Nothridge High. A game in which I dropped the pass that would have taken us to states. "No" I told myself, the past is the past and I should stop dwelling on it.
I proceeded to sit down upon the bench, and contoured my body backwards. I reached up and grabbed the bar, it was cold to the touch; as cold as the icy gaze a teamliquid member would give me in public. My grip tightened and I lifted the bar off and gently touched it to my chest and then pushed up with an amazing amount of force. "Shit," I muttered. I did not have the strength needed, the bar lay their suspended in mid-air, as if begging to be forced upwards. As it lay their in limbo I let out a sigh, I just could not get the bar up any more. I closed my eyes. Seconds passed and nothing.. would this be the end? Maybe weightlifting was a conquest I should have given up on long ago. I figured I would just put it on the nudges that were about a foot below rack... I had failed once again. As I brought it down I started feeling a sudden tingling in my spine. What was this unusual sensation? My adrenaline began pumping and I could feel a rush of energy coursing through my veins. I let out a huge roar and exerted my muscles upwards with all of my might. The bar reached its maximum destination as my arms had become fully extended, but I was not done. I brought it back to my chest and pushed it up again, as if I was on a mission. My grip tightened and I could feel the icy cold bar tear through my flesh. Two. Three. Four... Five. I was done. I stood up with a smile. I had done it. I was overcome with so much emotion and had finally slain the beast that had dwelt within me for so long. Shortly after I called my ex-girlfriend of 2 years and we reconciled, and are now married. BSN's NO-Xplode™ gave me the strength I not only needed to accomplish my weightlifting goals, but the strength I needed to save my life. Thank you BSN.

Narrator rated this blog post five out of five.

For only $29.99 you can have strength to bench, to get your girl back and save your life.
|
ROFL such randomness in your blogs that I gobble up with excitement everytime I read them
|
I remember when I did 225 the first time. What an achievement.... Now, I feel like I need to bench at least 295. =/
|
When I first started reading your blogs I thought you were a douche, but the more I read them the more I believe you're actually a pretty cool guy

lol I can't believe some of you think this is real

I can already bench 225 (though not 230, srsly, my last max was 225), I don't use NO explode, and all my friends who use NO Explode say it gives them headaches. However, you might try warming up. Trying to do it right away is a bad idea, maybe that was your problem. Or perhaps you just didn't mention your warmup.
You kept your butt down the whole time right!?!?! I'm tired of people cheating more instead of getting stronger. Not that I doubt you, just trying to keep you on the righteous track.
|
Did it not tip anyone off that he said right after the bench press, he called his ex-girlfriend of 2 years, they reconciled and then they got married?

You don't look like you can bench 225 in your gallery pick. Fuck that! Mighty. Wish I could do that shit. Gona try tomorrow, and probably fail to get 160 lbs.

I took a (joke) picture of myself flexing in a TL shirt, I'll add it to that thread when I figure out how to get pictures from my phone to the computer. I'm not really big, but I'm not really skinny.
Edit: Okay, two weeks ago my friends and I went to one of my friends properties, and shaved my hair into a mullet. This is the hot picture we took...
Look at me! I'm huge, behold my fearsome and unstoppable 225lb bench press! Now if only I could get over 140 APM and do better than 1-9 when I play on iCCup, I would get women...

i think its real because 225 bench isnt something really too brag about... someone who was creating a story would probably say something at least above 300
plus..you play football and cant get up 225? SQUATS DEADLIFTS POWER CLEANS > N.O. EXPLODE ANYDAY

Yeh, instead of appreciating the humor and obvious falsehood of this well written tale, you meatheads are talking about how much you can bench and posting pics of yourself.
I can bench 250 by the way.

+ Show Spoiler + Edit: I assumed he actually did get the bench, unless the entire thing was just sarcasm, using my perhaps Luxembourgish brain I assumed only the absurd part was. But yeah I mean, it feels to do 225 the first time so grats.

hmm..never benched 225 before. My max was 215 when i was 15 (im 17 now) and then i stopped lifting for some reason. Just started working out again for college rugby ~~
Oddly enough, i took noexplode today for the first time, and it did absolutely nothing for me. Granted i was sore from my workout two days ago, but i had no adrenaline/energy/unexpected force oozing from me at all when i took it. I could barely get up 155(lol). All that happened was i kinda felt dizzy when i got home two hours later. I'll just stick to lifting o natural.
p.s. wtf how come my gym has no powercleaning mats, or even a fucking squat rack? fuck you planet fitness.

That does sound really lame ... but yeah, all my friends have said NO Xplode just gives them a headache. But I have heard random people raving about it. I think staying "pure" is the best way.

it's cool to not try? i think it's mean to make fun of someone for trying and i cant understand why someone would do it other than pure spite. i'd rather read a bad blog than this negativity

No offence mate but you still don't look like you can make 225 xD. I believe you though. Your muscles just must be very dense...how tall are you 6'2 or something? I look probably...possibly...stronger than you but i mean i can barely hit 160-170. Maybe it's cos i have a phobio of the smith's machine.
All of you people bench obscenely high weights ><!
|
smith machine is for fags free weights plz
|
I use a smith machine for nothing. 225 isn't a big deal, I think you're overestimating it. Being able to bench press 400 lbs wouldn't make you huge, you have to do specific things to get big ( I don't know what they are, but bodybuilder routines are always really long and ridiculous, and involve ridiculous diets ).
Get a good arch, a good big breath, and bench a lot. I'm not ridiculously skinny, and that's all that's necessary. Were I a stick I would accept your disbelief.
And I'm 5'9" 170 lbs ~77.27 k.

If I paypal you $50 will you send me a few ounces of this NO-Xplode™ stuff. I wanna get a good summer max out in weights.

the squat rack is actually in their attic, they had to move it off the floor due to planet fitness policies (faggots )
