Ok, so I usually hate Korean music. But these ballads are an exception and I really like them for some reason, so I wondered if some of you who may know similar ones could recommend some?
I don't like it when male singers sing with this gay voice and lots of vibrato, and the chorus melody is the most important I guess.
Lee Eun Mi - aein isseoyo (이은미 - 애인 있어요)
Seon Ye - Il Wol Ji Ga (선예 - 일월지가)
bluedawn - bomi omyeon (푸른 새벽 - 보옴이 오면)
And now two male singers, but I like those less than the ones listed above.
MC The Max - jamsiman anyeong (MC The Max - 잠시만 안녕) (remake of X-Japan - Tears)
lolol oh anyway well non-ska male k-pop singers... i don't usually watch k-dramas much but the ones i've seen 봄의 왈츠 and 마이 걸 were great ahaha anyway there's a song on spring waltz OST1 i dont know the singer but it's called 수호천사 XD and also 이제 사랑할 수 있어요
I think I might share your taste in music, snowbird.
Personally, I never really listened to korean music either, but there are pretty good singers/bands out there. My two personal favorites so far are Fly To The Sky (male singers duo) and Kim Kyung Ho (rock artist).

what's the korean title for don't cry by the cross? couldn't find it on youtube. and what songs by mc the max do you recommend?
i listened to fly to the sky, but they're exactly the style i don't like. just sounds too cheesy, especially that one guy (not brian, the other one). when singing the verse always going woohoho mhmhmh after one line, that's just meh.
i liked Kim Kyung Ho, amazing voice. liked the song 'forbidden love', sounds a little like old fashioned soft-rock, but still good.
about sg wannabe, i don't know. i have just skimmed through some of their stuff on youtube and this typical pop-ballad synthesizer drum beat just really turns me off and kills the song for me (that kind of cheap sound you have in back street boys or nsync songs). and it seems like they have it in all of their songs.
there are like 1000190238 korean pop ballads, but only a few gems unfortunately, but they're so hard to find.
It's not technically a ballad, but I love this Lee Ssang song 'Ballerino'. I used to spent alot of time listening to it in my old pc bang a few months back. The video is really twisted, but well done;
snowbird, send me some of that music if you have any too. Yeah, I agree that flytothesky can be a bit meh, but hey, can't help what I like ~_~
Also, yea I like Kim Kyung Ho's voice. Although he's not the best at singing it, I enjoyed him singing "she's gone" (pretty popular song, a goddamn highass song by steelheart).
