Wow this isn't even funny....one of my friends is seriously becoming antisocial. Before this, he was the one who always wanted to hang out. But now, he only wants to stay home and not go outside. Once, a group of friends wanted him to follow along to watch a movie. He came, but changed his mind and went to burger king. Seriously, all this dumbass fuck does is sit down at home or eat the worst food ever. I worry that he'll get a heart attack.
Why is he staying at home?? CUZ OF FUCKING MADDEN 08 FOR XBOX..OMG..ever since he got that game, he's been addicted to it and plays more than I play Starcraft...he literraly sits on the couch and plays Madden like 8 hours minimum.....and he boasts about his "amazing" (WOW OMG WE DONT CARE ABOUT A DUMBASS GLITHCY FOOTBALL GAME) roster. Guess what, I don't give a fuck.......
Madden takes no skill...I swear. He thinks it does and he's played so much that by now, I wouldn't be surprsied if he's the best player in the world. But nonetheless, I need a way for him to actually come the fuck outside and stop playing that shitty game called Madden.
HELP.

set him up with a girl. if that doesnt work he is in serious shape and you need to tell him there is a madden tournament 7 hours from you with 2k for first place. once you get him in the car drive for minimum 6 hours and then leave him at a gas station / burger king and make him hitch hike / walk all the way home. that will hopefully remind him of what the outside is like and he will come out of his house more often.

wow madden is literally one of the gayest games ever, in fact all sports games are gay. sorry i don't have an idea for you, other than show him another game. the problem with that though is if he gets addicted to such a shitty game a decent game would probably get him to never leave his chair again.

Maybe get some people together and play some real football? I am assuming his interest goes beyond the video game, though, which may be incorrect.

Your friend has desire (Tanha) to play the game. You have desire that your friend not play the game so that he can instead spend time with you or be less antisocial. Wow...I can probably understand the whole being addicted to videogames thing...but fucking madden?
Anyways as for advice...I'm not really sure. I'm don't know how much skill this game takes (I've played it a couple of times and it seems easy enough, but I'm not sure if it's hard at all at a "pro" level), but if it's a simple game maybe try to get good at it and whoop his ass to show him that his 8+ hours a day amount to nothing. Or maybe just bring someone else who is good at the game, and lie and claim the man never even touched an xbox controller in his life.
If someone can win a WCG tournament for CNC3 without ever having played the game, I'm sure you or your friends should be able to devise a way to humiliate him at madden.
Edit: Of course this could backfire and cause him to become even more determined to get good at the game =/ IME once someone gets addicted at that level you just gotta let the guy go...or hold an intervention.
Edit2: actually the intervention idea doesn't sound too bad. Just gather up all of your friends, his parents (if they're willing to go along), and whatever other family/friends he has. Then while he's playing madden just have everyone walk into the room, pull the plug on his game, and start talking about his addiction.
