I do regret cheating, as it is in essence a violation of trust and yes, indicates a lack of respect for oneself. You're completely right about that. And you're also right in that if I didn't like the relationship so much I could have simply broken it off. Unfortunately, I apparently didn't have that spine. I could justify myself further in saying it was a 3 year long relationship that I felt warranted more caution in breaking it off and the cheating was rather inadvertent, but it really wouldn't matter. Quite frankly all I'm looking for from you is less judgment for my actions. You don't know the situation, so it's quite unfair for you to simply place an absolute "CHEATING IS WRONG YOU DESERVE TO BURN BADLY!" in lieu of a thought out response. But then again, as stated previously, this is the internet so it was probably a naive thing for me to hope for that. | ||
