I didn't play last round, so I want a little help understanding the flow of the game. I didn't want to PM Chiui, as I'm sure he's done enough work.
So basically, at the start of the day, clues are given based on the results of the previous night. At night, the mafia collectively chooses one person to kill, and then clues are given to all players the following morning as to what happened at night (as I just said). Any players with special roles can act at night, too? Is this correct?
Them, during the day, all players discuss who they want lynched?
Nobody knows who anyone else is, except that all mafia members know who the other mafia members are? All roles are hidden, as well?
So basically, play mind games with people and try not to give away who I am?
P.S. I've never played anything like this before, as I noticed some of you saying you have, so that's why I'm a little unsure of what happened.

You got it right. Except I think Chuiu requires that mafia PM their hits individually, but I'm not so sure on that. Also the mafia kills a lot more than one, the formula for their number of kills are (number of mafia alive)/2 rounded down. Everything else is correct.
How does mafia killing power work? Is that how many hits they can make per night?
Was I supposed to vote on who the mayor lynched for night one? Or is that a decision only he makes? -_-
Edit: You answered my first question in your ninja edit.
No, the mayor alone chooses who get lynched the first day. This is the reason Ace is getting all kinds of shit for his decision to lynch Incontrol. All other days from now on, the town votes who to lynch.
Alright, so every time I see the thread title change to "TL Mafia 2 [Day X]" I should go vote based on the clues found at night and the discussion itself?
Oh, so it isn't that difficult. /palmface
I got really confused at first about who was supposed to know what about the other players. :|
Yeah, if you're confused that's how you're supposed to feel (assuming you're a townie). The game essentially tests the power of a few well informed players (mafia) vs. a large clueless mass of players (the town).
Yeah, it seems like the mafia have to work together covertly while overtly behaving like townies to win.
Do I publicly vote to lynch during the day, or do I PM the mayor?
vote publicly during the day
Yeah, Chuiu will have a blog up when the new day starts. You post your votes in his blog, and discuss in the thread.
Okay, that makes more sense. Thanks.
also, based Ace's "bodyguard plan", all the bodyguards should know who each other are.
If you have the time for it, don't just vote based on Chiui post. Also read through everyone else's posts, try and find out voting trends, strange behaviour. Townies never have to lie about anything since they are innocent, Mafia members have to hide a lot of things. So even people not posting but voting are leaving behind clues. If you have any idea's about people be sure to present them publically cause it might benefit the town (edit: or don't if you are mafia ofcourse).
