I applied on the fafsa website for a PIN number and i have mine. But ur parents also need one too. So my question is that is there a special section for the parents to apply for their PIN number or do i just do it in the same student section where I got my PIN number?

Same section. There isn't a special student section afaik, just one location for everyone.

Unless they changed it over the last six months.

Same section and you only need 1 PIN # for both your parents.

You need at least 1 parent's pin number. You enter it on the last page of the fafsa.

Sorry for bumping this blog again but i figured since it's another financial aid question i might as well ask it here. When i applied to get the PIN number for my parents, it had the option where i could create my own PIN number which i did and wrote down. So I'm wondering if i can use this number right away or do i have to wait for the government confirmation email before i can use it(keep in mind i already have the number written down).
