EPTYour brother is asleep, as is your father. You quickly take a bath, getting ready as soon as possible because it’s already twenty to seven. So you get your gear ready and head out to Fernando’s. He’s a friend of yours who lives on the next house. He always gives you a ride to college.
When you arrive at your friend’s door, you ring the bell. 5 minutes go on and he isn’t coming out yet. You ring again with the hopes that he leaves soon, because its getting really late and you have exam on the first class, which is in 3 minutes. He aint coming out. You notice that near the door there are some bloodstains but you were too sleepy to notice right away. You also notice that there is no music playing in the background. It would normally be because Fernando likes playing music while getting ready but today there is none. But you hear some mumbling…
You imagination goes flying, and you start thinking of a zombie apocalypse. But how probable is that god. Maybe your friend is in trouble! You put out your cell phone as soon as possible and dial 080. Nobody answers. So you run back to your house to tell your father what you’ve just saw.
When you open your dad’s door you yell and panic. Your dad is covered in blood. Oh noes, it cannot be. In your panic you rush to your room and notice your brother is gone. Totally frightened you return to your dad’s room and open it really slowly…
Suddenly, the door pulls you. Your dad’s neck looks shattered. He’s been bitten. Adrenaline goes up before you notices and you start running towards the exit. Your dad is just behind you.
You take cover behind a car. You see one of your neighbors just leaving his house, like he would normally do. And your dad running in that direction. Oh, you wish you would have not seen that awful scene. This is a bloody zombie apocalypse. There is going to be no taxis or buses today, and you need a way out soon. You run to your house again and grab the car keys. You get the hell out of there.
Now you’re looking for a safe place to hide. You imagine that there are no zombie drivers, and the bridge near your house should be safe. There is nobody on the streets today. So you head out there.
Wow.
It cannot be. It cannot be. What the hell is happening? Zombie apocalypses are seen in movies and games, not real life. So while you calm down from the shock of seeing your father turned into a zombie, you need to realize that you will need to survive the apocalypse. So, now you have to decide what you’re going to do. There are so many things to think about. You’re worrying for your life at the moment. So your first thought is to get out of here. But… Where is out of here? In movies, everything is infested with zombies, so there is no way out. Now you think of surviving. But you’ll need a fortress, and people, because no way that you’ll make it alone.
But, where is safe?
A list of places cross your mind with lightning speed. Your first thought goes to the military encampment near your house. Yeah of course! Why wouldn’t you’ve thought of that! Soldiers are always the last people to fall to zombies in zombie apocalypses. You can go there and get protection and a haven to think of what to do next, or more likely, told what to do next.
You head immediately to the military encampment. Just before you arrive, you see a running person being chased by zombies just behind you. Oh, poor soul, you wish you could help him but by doing so you endanger your life too much. So when you arrive at your destination, you leave your car and you’ve shocked to see there is nobody on the encampment. Suddenly you hear a scream, and you look at your left side, and notice a soldier running at you, with the jaw wide open ready to bite you. Again, you panic but make it safely to your car and accelerate. Holy shit that was close.
Ok, nowhere is safe right now. So you’ve got some options to go:
a) Your closest friend is Rodrigo; you might search him in his house.
b) Try driving around searching for survivors.
c) Fortify home and wait for help.
After thinking for few seconds, you decide that c) is not feasible. So you either pick a or b. What would you pick?
