losing is like having a crush.
winning 20 games in a row is nothing compared to the recollection of that single game that all rested on one simple mistake. the mind uncontrollably replays through the game again and again, fantasizing about what could have been, what should have been. the entire scope of one's thoughts are limited to the one single loss.
the yearning to succeed, the dream of victory, and overcoming of past mistakes motivate the individual plagued with the memory of defeat. with each win, the memory is slowly conquered bit by bit.
until the next loss.
the first loss seems distant and unimportant compared the next. the heart sighs and the mind begins to replay over and over again. the cycle starts again.
having so many crushes can be hard on the body, but slowly the losses fade away. mistakes are weeded out. blunders are avoided. those little crushes have blossomed into something wonderful. for this valentine's day, admire your own play, and enjoy the rush of being in love 8]
