Yay, another Lacuna Coil fan. Them and In Flames account for about 90% of the music I have listened to in the last month.

Edit: And to the OP (is it called op in blogs, or just author, or something?) For some reason Linkin Park songs make me happy. I feel like they suck and I should hate them, but I get the shivers every damn time.

Also you could try "A Forest" by Nouvelle Vague it's perfect to chill.

Nothing beats Mariachi/Mexican music for a happy vibe (from their music, I have concluded that the Mexican people are a happy people.) The music of the white man is very dreary by comparison. Course I don't collect this music, so I can't recommend anything specific.

Creedence Clearwater Revival comes to mind. They have a happy sound. Some of that old rock by bands like The Who or The Rolling Stones can really do nicely.

When I was in the middle of a serious clinical depression, I found that the Beatles reached out to me and helped me through it. In particular, the album Rubber Soul (although all their albums are pretty awesome.)
